Team B.S. picks up inside Intersection 2. The death counter opens at Scoti 35, Basket 31. Someone's armor isn't taking any damage at all, because it's unbreakable.
A quest from Alduini
A villager named Alduini has a quest, and the reward is three emeralds. The quest gets read out loud: "Please help me, young warrior. I'm looking for my wife Hilda." Hilda was an apprentice at the Sorcerer's Academy when the old sorcerer went mad, and Alduini can feel that Hilda is still alive. The fine print says to make sure there's room in the inventory, which gets a dark joke about Hilda fitting in one. The other theory is that Hilda is a villager they'll have to bring back in a rail cart.
Alduini also trades: a stack of something for gold, gold for an anvil. Nearby is an Arcane Blacksmith who deals in armor, swords and anvils, a chest with more frost traps, a Flame Trap, and an ender chest downstairs for inventory that is "so full right now." The rugs get suspicion too: "They're hiding something. They can't be trusted."
Arcane Bomb
On the way to the checkpoint they find a new trap, the Arcane Bomb. The tooltip says it's placed where the potion lands, and "After 2 seconds, this trap explodes." It has infinite uses. Nobody knows yet whether it blows up like a creeper or does real damage, so a couple go along.
Down the rails
After a cut ("Welcome back. Things are heating up here") they follow a rail line through mine buildings, lighting up and breaking spawners as they go. A creeper gets right on top of one of them: "Oh god, I'm inside of it." Somebody finds an emerald on an upper floor that's full of skeletons and a creeper, and nobody wants the creeper to blow it up. After some healing on the roof: "Got it. So that's all the emeralds, right?"
The mobs here are miners with pickaxes, and they "hit kind of hard." They also have a tracking problem. They're "programmed to try to not walk on rail," so crossing a track leaves them confused.
The legendary chest bites
At the end of one track sits a chest under a sign for the Greater Windfury Blade. "Oh god, trap." Basket gets swarmed and the chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Fallen Miner."
The blade is worth it: Sharpness III, Knockback II, Unbreaking II, +15% speed and +6 attack damage. "You can feel the power of the wind through the sword." It turns out to be a step up from a plain Windfury Blade one of them already carries, and the speed makes the screen go "woo." Afterward they trace the trap: a sticky piston, a spawner tucked behind the wall, all of it snaking around so "the whole time we were in here it probably had super range."
A third emerald block
Back at the Nexus they have nine emeralds, enough for a Block of Emerald. This time the plan is to "not break the emerald block," and it goes straight onto the bonus monument. The Assassin's Hook gets a test along the way, and it's "kind of delayed."
The bonus chest holds golden apples, a block of bedrock and a bow called Netherstorm, with chat saying "The ancient gods have sent you a present."
Netherstorm has Power III, Flame I, Punch III, Fire Aspect II, Knockback IV and Unbreaking III, but no Infinity. It goes to whichever of them admits to being "not very good with the bow." The bedrock goes on the upgrade they'd been planning on, Life Drain.
The counter closes at Scoti 35, Basket 32. The monument stands at 5 of 16 crystals and now 3 of 12 emerald blocks.
