Little Mines: Ragecraft 3 Episode 54

  • Published on

The gear recovery from last time mostly worked. All of Grandmaster Xin's armor made it. The Netherstorm bow did not. "Bad news, Netherstorm bit the dust. So now I have a Power III bow again." It could have been worse, they agree, but someone is "still sad." The death counter opens at Scoti 36, Basket 33.

Back into the valley

The first job is the spawners overhead. One of them gets up there with "super jumpy powers" and some cobblestone, and the spider spawner goes down. The next one turns out to be a skeleton spawner, then two of them. There's a fire resistance potion, and a stash of carrots.

Down in the valley it's "pretty much exactly like the other end": poisonous spiders, creepers and a spawner hiding up in the trees. Someone eats a golden apple for the absorption hearts and still gets caught by a creeper that should have been far enough away. Nobody dies, though. Then: "Oh, emerald! Awesome." The emerald gets taken ("I always have room for emerald"), and Basket goes for the lapis.

Pants of the Dwarven King

They climb out by pillaring up through a tree and land by the mushroom houses. The Dwarven Blacksmith's spawner seems to be gone ("I'm gonna bet I crushed it"), so that source of goodies is over. After a quick trip to the Nexus to drop off junk, they head into a big building with several floors: a legendary weapon upstairs, "little boogers downstairs."

In the building there's cake, a music box with no disc, and a sign: "Pants of the Dwarven King." The pants have Protection II, Blast Protection II and Unbreaking III, but they slow you down. "They seem a little too short for your legs."

Chasing the cart

Another minecart is doing the rounds and spawning dwarves, so one of them chases it down. "Get back here." It escapes once before they get it. Traps are flying too, and the favorite is still the slowness one.

An opening off the path leads to a bunch of zombies and a chest that might be trapped. Inside is another Dwarven Mining Uniform, helmet and pants. Better still, there's an Ender Chest nearby. "Nice, that'll make it easier."

Scouts and a stasis potion

Farther along they break Dwarven Scout spawners ("you little jerks") and find a chest with "trapped written all over it." Inside are splash potions of stasis (Slowness and Vulnerability), an iron pick with Efficiency I and Fortune II, Berserker's boots and pants, gold boots and arrows. On the way out they grab the gold ore, since they might not be back.

The second emerald

There's one more emerald "over there," with "a bunch of bad guys." They bridge toward it slowly, which may have given the mobs a path up to them. Creepers, hunger and nausea all get a turn. "I feel like we're winning the war here." Finally: "I have the emerald, man. Let's get the H out of here." A witch shows up on the way back, the emerald goes into the Ender Chest, and they climb back up on the rail, where they figure nothing but the spiders can reach them.

Nobody died. The counter closes at Scoti 36, Basket 33, with the monument still at 5 of 16 crystals and 3 of 12 emerald blocks. More Little Mines next time.
