Svarog's Verdict: Ragecraft 3 Episode 77

  • Published on

The episode opens with "a little fire resistant shower" before heading back out into Mount Cinis. Basket noticed some stairs, and the plan is simple: run in, torch everything, run back. The death counter opens at Scoti 56, Basket 46, and it never moves.

Run in, torch, run back

The spawners here are primed, so they spit mobs out the moment anyone gets close. A spawner goes down right away. Some of the mobs have "super knockback," which matters a lot with lava around. Skeletons shoot from upstairs, a TNT-headed mob comes at them, and its spawner gets taken out. An Enderman gets angry. They block off the upstairs and leave by the front door, both still alive.

The chests in that building hold a baguette, gold apples, coal, gold nuggets and an arcane bomb. One of them uses "breach" as the call-out for throwing one. A throw near a doorway goes wrong and something gets lost, "but I have two more, so cool."

Good stuff for once

"I kind of feel like we're owning this place. I don't want to get too cocky, but we're doing well this episode." The trick is staying away from the lava edge, since so many things here knock you back.

An anvil screen tooltip reading "Magma Leggings", "Protection II", "Fire Protection II", "Uncommon Item", "+6% Speed"

Back at the drop-off there are chainmail boots, more fire extinguishers, a chestplate, a good sword and bottles o' enchanting. On Basket's screen, Magma Leggings sit in the inventory at the anvil: Protection II, Fire Protection II, +6% Speed. "Everything's so good now." One guess about the plan: put the armor on and jump into the volcano. "No, I think that's where the crystal's gonna be."

Skinny stairs and pig traps

Up the hill, there are imps hidden in the walls. A spawner goes down for the imps, but one is still loose, so the warning is to keep away from the edge. Then come the pumpkin-headed mobs again, "boss-ish," hard to kill. Then a set of skinny stairs. "We don't like skinny around here."

A spawner sits under a chest, and the little pigs keep coming. Pig spawners don't care about light, so that one gets broken. They try the traps again: throw one like a potion, and mobs where it lands catch fire.

A full set of lava gear

A sign, read out loud, asks if anyone has ever wanted to jump headfirst into a volcano, and warns that "regular fire resistance won't protect you." They need the full Lava Diving set from the last episode. They count what they have and think a piece is still missing.

A chest on nether brick steps in a stone brick alcove under a sign reading "Lavaproof Boots"

The next one is close by: a chest under a sign that says "Lavaproof Boots." "I have the boots." The goodies go back to base so they can't get lost, and a teed-off Enderman picks a fight along the way.

Svarog's Verdict

Back out with two stacks of torches, they clear more spawners and find a giant lava fall with what looks like a power generator above it. A room full of pigs and three mobs with thorns sends one of them kiting back toward the start.

A chest set into netherrack under a red block with a sign reading "Svarog's Verdict"

Then a chest under a sign reading "Svarog's Verdict." "Uh oh, legendary weapon. Nice." What it does stays a mystery for now. "In the next episode they get to find out what this weapon is."

The counter closes where it opened, Scoti 56, Basket 46. The monument isn't shown, so it stays at 7 of 16 crystals and 5 of 12 emerald blocks.
