Paladin's Boots: Ragecraft 3 Episode 81

  • Published on

Team B.S. is still working through the Phantom Ruins, the jungle area full of invisible mobs. The death counter opens at Scoti 57, Basket 47, the same as where Episode 80 stopped. "There's a creeper in there." "Yeah, let's do it."

Charged creepers on the roof

The way back up runs through a building with creepers around it, and one is on the roof. "This is very bad, but I'm in a room, very bad room. There's charged creepers up here." There are holes in the roof and it was dark, so the torches go in. The other half of the team goes after the spawners for the invisible mobs. A thrown potion makes one of them visible, and the line that follows is "see, vulnerable." Up on the second level, another invisible mob waits on a ledge by a bridge, and a second potion goes its way.

Repairs at the anvil

Basket's inventory with an armor tooltip reading "Thornmail Chestplate", "Protection II", "Thorns III", "Unbreaking V" and "Uncommon Item", and the death counter at Scoti_Garbidis 57, BasketMC 47

One of them is out of healing potions with a helmet close to breaking, right as a "phantom melee" closes in. A load of goodies goes back to the double chests, and Basket uses an anvil to repair an Iron Helmet, a pair of Sorcerer's Boots and a Thornmail Chestplate (Protection II, Thorns III, Unbreaking V). "I'm like the coolest fastest guy in the world right now."

Spawners in the trees

Two glowing charged creepers, one of them on fire, coming down a stone path in the jungle ruins toward Basket's sword

The next building has spiders at the entrance, some magic books and a spawner inside, and a charged creeper spawner sits just across the way. Charged creepers keep coming, and the plan is to charge them with a sword, "because it's hard to roll the charge creeper." Spiders drop out of a tree full of webs. In the middle of it one of them is "on fire and withered." The mobs turn out to be spawning inside a pillar, and that spawner goes down too.

Then one of them grabs a pair of Paladin's Boots: Protection III and Feather Falling II, and "the more items of this set you're wearing, the more buffs you receive." The boots go back to the chest, and they regroup.

Gold blocks and more emeralds

The second half opens with gold blocks out in the open and a spider spawner up in a tree. A Bane of Arthropods sword is the tool for the spiders. The melee phantoms get a complaint about their plain name, since this map "usually has like more unique names for these things." One emerald gets picked up ("Emerald, you're mine." "My inventory is so full."), and another turns up after a witch spawner and an invisible skeleton spawner go down.

Trap written all over it

A chest sitting at the end of an obsidian floor between glowstone pillars in a small room behind a waterfall

Behind a waterfall is a small room with a chest at the end of an obsidian floor. "This has got trap written all over it." The emerald goes into a chest first, just in case. The theory on the obsidian is that it only makes you think it is a trap, so you dig everything up.

A large chest holding a purple book in a ring of cookies, with a "Cookie" tooltip showing

Inside is a book set in a ring of cookies. The audio calls it "Enigma's lame joke book," and they save the jokes for next time. "Story time next episode, everybody." The counter closes at Scoti 57, Basket 47, with no deaths this episode. The monument isn't shown, so it stays at 8 of 16 crystals and 5 of 12 emerald blocks.
