"Here I am, Basket. What will you show me?" It's "story time again," and they're back at the quest giver for a reread. The death counter reads Scoti 63, Basket 53 when the episode opens, and it reads the same at the end.
Checking the orders
The book is Janus's plea for help: the summoners are spreading into the surrounding caves, and there aren't enough soldiers to stop them. The plan is to wreck the places that keep the summoners going. One of them reads the list out and relaxes. "I did it right." The worry had been hanging around "for like four episodes," and the redstone mines from before were on the list after all.
That leaves the quarry, the coal mine and the food storage. They guess those will be rigged to blow up too, and they wonder about harvesting them first, though "it's probably full of a bunch of bad guys." The front door turns out not to be an option, so they take the shorter path back into the cave.
Spawners and the second emerald
The cave is busy. Creepers drop out of a hole up top, a blaze spawner can be heard but not seen, and skeletons keep shooting from somewhere. Up near the catwalks there's an emerald, and soon it's "Got the emerald." When they try to count, this is the first one in a while: "we have one other one." The guess is that the rest sit higher up, on the catwalks.
One of them has repaired an efficiency pick, which makes breaking spawners faster. They pass the spot where one of them "nearly rage quit" and then the place where "I lost everything."
Rise up, my minions
Past three spawners the summoner starts talking again, and the chat fills with the same line over and over. Basket's screen goes orange with fire on a grassy floor packed with burning mobs. "I'm going to die!" "Don't die!" They back up, pick off the crowd and get the spawner down.
The Creeper Breeding Station
Then they reach a sign, and the episode has its title. "Creeper breeding station, that's scary. That sounds like a place we don't want to go." The jokes start right away: "we took the DNA from a mosquito. It was trapped in amber."
Inside are black egg blocks on sand, which one of them calls a creeper egg and the other compares to "weird-looking alien movie things." There's TNT on the shelves, and nobody can tell if it's primed. A chest that looks trapped isn't. Creepers fall from a spawner in the ceiling, and a chest turns up "a lot of gunpowder," which one of them grabs because the other likes to breach.
Witches with thorns
The next room has witches, the kind that drop a lot of loot, and they seem to have thorns: shooting one hurts the shooter. Poison sticks around, a silverfish shows up, and the mobs start fighting each other, with a skeleton shooting a blaze. One of them breaks the eggs in an upstairs room and takes out a spawner, and they hold the stairs while the rest keep spawning. Then it's "the end of the episode." No deaths, and the monument isn't shown, so it stays at 9 of 16 crystals and 6 of 12 emerald blocks.
