Episode 100 starts with the death counter tied at 68 each, and a short list of jobs: get the emerald out of the burning summoner level, then deal with the last part of General Janus's quest. They have exactly one arcane bomb left. One of them makes a chest, and the bomb goes in it so it can't be lost if somebody dies on the way.
Getting the emerald out
This time they come at the room from above. One of them stays up on a narrow ledge, "on a wire up here," while blazes and creepers fill the space below. The summoner shows up, and instead of killing it they knock it off the ledge. "I never killed him, I just knocked him off the ledge." It's still down there spawning blazes, but "all we want is the emerald." A spawner gets broken, the skeleton below gets dealt with, and the emerald comes out.
The coal mines
With the emerald safe, the plan turns to the coal mines. They dig a tunnel through the sand toward a spot marked by redstone and a sign that says to destroy it, then fetch the bomb. Basket has the arcane bomb in hand over the hole. The first throw lands too far away. The second one works. "We have destroyed the coal mines." That was the last target on General Janus's list.
Brimstone and the gold island
Before heading back they go down past the lava to pick up the Brimstone from a chest and clear one last gold island. A charged creeper spawner sits in the ground under some vines there, so they kill the creepers fast and block off the tunnel with sandstone. "That was easy."
Back up top, the Brimstone goes into its frame next to the Blightroot, with the Bloodflower slot still empty. The chat says "[General Janus] Thank you for your help, young warrior!" A quest book in the same room lists its reward as a "Permanent Health Boost (20%)."
Emerald block seven
At the monument, another emerald block goes in. The chat reads "The ancient gods have sent you a present," and the chest holds a sword called Templar's Wrath: Sharpness V, Fire Aspect II, Unbreaking V, and "This weapon grants Resistance when held in your hand." There's some lapis too. That puts the monument at 7 of 12 emerald blocks. The crystals stay at 10 of 16.
Picking an upgrade
The last stop is the upgrade shrine, and they let chat decide. They read through the options. The advanced Lifedrain adds half a point of saturation per kill, so that one "sucks." Tainted Arrows gives Vulnerability V to enemies near an arrow in flight, but a message says it's glitchy in multiplayer, which rules it out. Arcane Strike would go from a 20% to a 40% chance of hitting everything nearby for 12 damage. Scavenging only works from intersection four onward. Adrenaline Rush gives eight seconds of Speed after every kill.
Speed wins the vote. The chat confirms "Basic ADRENALINE RUSH upgrade has been unlocked." "Now if I kill you I can run away faster." Nobody died all episode, so the counter ends where it started, 68 to 68.
