Cinderblood Temple: Ragecraft 3 Episode 101

  • Published on

The death counter is tied at 68 each, and that changes how they play. Nobody wants to be the first one to die "since we tied back up." The new area is behind a sign that reads "Area: Cinderblood Temple," with "Purple Crystal" on one side and "6 Emeralds" on the other.

A pressure plate on bedrock

The first thing in the hallway is a pressure plate trap sitting on bedrock, so they can't just break it. "This feels like a trap." One of them drops everything in a pile first ("I'll be the guy who dies now") and walks over it with no gear. The trap gives them Speed. "It's good to be careful, kids."

Fiery blood

Then comes story time: "The Cinderblood cult worships the great fire in the core of their temple. Spilling their fiery blood makes a nearby cultist faster and stronger, but careful, their blood is absolutely deadly to anyone who does not worship the great fire." The cultists turn out to be zombie pigmen, and one of them guesses the pigmen have fire resistance while Team B.S. does not. It also reminds them of the nightmare world in Ragecraft 2, so they expect to be stuck somewhere for a while.

There are carpets on the floor, gravel that will drop and set things off if it updates, and a chest in an awkward spot. The chest holds books with fire protection on them.

Building fences

They pour water down a hole to check for anything hidden and spot a spawner out beyond a fence, with a ghast around too. Every pigman in here is angry, the ones that spawn naturally drop gold, and they have reach. The answer is fences, lots of them, built from the temple's own blocks. "No one of us wants to die." A crafting bench gets left behind the line.

The fence slows down the pigmen, but poison spiders start coming out of the walls, and they back off fast. After some searching, one of them finds a poison spider spawner. The pigman spawner stays hidden. "These cultists are definitely not gonna like us. I'm just wrecking their house." The map's maker is watching and teases them for being so paranoid, since there isn't even a pigman spawner in the room they were scared of. A viewer suggests carpet on top of the fences, which gets a "Genius."

The library on the other side has a chest of "junk and some books," including an Unbreaking III book.

Half a heart

The room on the left goes badly right away. "That is wrecking me hard!" Pigmen come through the door, something with area-of-effect poison potions hits, and one of them drops to "half a heart," with a "Stay away from the lava!" in the middle of it. They pull back. The carpet trick has a flaw too: it only works if the ceiling is high enough to jump the fence.

A quick "spot check" of the furnaces turns up arrows, and then they call it, going back over the fence before anything else can go wrong. It's a short one, and nobody dies, so the counter stays at 68 each. The monument isn't shown, so it stays at 10 of 16 crystals and 7 of 12 emerald blocks.
