The counter reads 70 deaths each, and Team B.S. is still at the hole that leads down into the inner core of the Cinderblood Temple. "Alright, water is down." Then they go down after it.
Wooden fences don't cut it
There are a lot of pigmen at the bottom. The fence trick from last time runs into a problem right away: "Oh, and they're wood! No!" The pigmen push each other through the gap, so the wooden fences get swapped out, and the water gets cleaned up "so it's not pushing us all over." Some of the pigmen here aren't even after them. "I like weird pigmen."
A demon on the wall
Past a long stone corridor, one of them reads a sign as "dig down." It looks like a fast way out, and it leads back toward the Nexus. The way forward is something else. "This level is humongous." A giant skull demon shape covers the far wall of a nether brick hall, with fire on the pillars and lava underneath.
"Is this a boss, you think, or just a regular gigantic level again?" Nobody knows. The spawners below get set off on purpose, blazes show up on the other side, and they block the stairs down one side at a time. There's "a lot of quartz here." A "gold guy" chases them off, "he hits hard," and they climb onto a round pad where the mobs can't easily follow.
Basket is wearing the Robe of the Pyromancer from a few episodes back, Thorns III and all.
Upstairs
With the spawners on the right side down, they push up to the balcony. "Oh, it's bad up here." The pigmen up there are fast, and Basket backs into a corner and dies anyway. The chat reads "BasketMC was killed by Potion using magic." Still, "I died in a good spot."
Basket runs all the way back from the respawn hall. Water goes down by the stairs in case there's lava below, and a couple of minutes later the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Cinderblood Cultist." "We're tied again," at 71 each.
Not tied for long
The tie lasts about a minute. "Oh, there's real badness up here." Another "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Cinderblood Cultist" puts Scoti at 72.
Getting the gear back is slow. The regular pigmen are still angry, the bows left are all Power I, and "your stuff is still there" is the best news anyone gets. They drag it into a chest, sort out whose sword and bow is whose, and one helmet never turns up. There's a lapis block in the room. Once the room is closed up, "the room is secure," and they end it there.
The monument isn't shown, so it stays at 10 of 16 crystals and 7 of 12 emerald blocks.
