Reeking River is the Green Crystal level, and the episode starts at the chest marked important, where a book signed by Gaia waits. "Greetings young wanderers. I am Gaia, the warden of nature and protector of the earth." The river ahead "has been poisoned and corrupted by an old witch," and the witch's room only opens for "those who say her true name." A second book spells out the job: "You must find out the old witch's true name to unlock her chamber." The counter reads Scoti 78, Basket 73.
Don't go in the water
Basket's inventory has a Lightning Trap: "Mobs near this trap are struck by lightning." That sounds useful against witches. Then a sign: "You can thank Rubisk for this pool." It's a pool of poison, and one of them is already in it. "I can't get out. I cannot get out. This is garbage." The rule for the rest of the level gets made on the spot: "Just never ever in the water."
A chest nearby has a special potion that "Removes ALL poison, weakness and slowness effects," which should help if an Elder Witch curses them again.
Moss monsters
Past the pool the cave turns into a swamp full of natural mobs, plus some that aren't. Then come the Swampcrawlers, green mobs that climb out of the ponds. "Moss monsters." "They have a fresh pine scent."
Before long they are cursed with weakness again, so the plain mobs hit harder than they should. One of them tries the Lightning Trap near some creepers, which turns out to be "the worst idea in my entire life." Lightning charges creepers. "All of a sudden a whole stream of charged creepers were heading towards me."
The witch behind this curse is standing by a pond. One of them sets the Elder Witch on fire, and a few hits later "You are no longer cursed" shows in chat. A chest there holds a splash potion of healing.
The first syllable
Further along, creepers walk around with potion bottles on their heads, and small zombies in diamond armor come out of a spawner sitting on a diamond vein. "He dropped frickin' lapis."
In a chest behind glass is a note named "A": "The first syllable of a mysterious name." There are two copies and they take one. "I hope it's a really short name."
A bow in the carpet house
Charged creepers keep dropping from a roof, so one of them pillars up to clear it. Someone spots "a legendary inside the building downstairs," so nothing is allowed to blow up near it. There is carpet on the floor, and an open chest.
It's "Fangride's Torment," a Power VII bow with Noxious Arrows: an arrow that lands puts out a gas that damages and slows nearby mobs. The tooltip quotes Fangride: "We need more DoT effects!" One of them already has "a Power 4, Unbreaking, Infinity bow that I made," so the new one gets held as a backup instead of combined.
On the way back a cloud of green gas hangs in a tree where one of the new arrows landed. They end up somewhere they've already been and call it there, with the counter still at Scoti 78, Basket 73. The monument isn't shown, so the totals carry over from last episode: 13 of 16 crystals and 9 of 12 emerald blocks.
