Reeking River goes on. Since last time they have the first and third syllables of the old witch's name, A and RI, and they're fairly sure they walked past the second one. "We missed the second syllable." The plan is to clear their inventories, come back for it later, and keep going. One of them isn't keen. "I don't really wanna do this level. Can we just skip it?" "No." The counter reads Scoti 78, Basket 73.
Sacred Antidotes
At the next checkpoint a chest holds a note. The witch's castle, it says, "is infested with slimy monsters that carry the green plague," and once you're infected "it only takes a few seconds for the plague to spread." Next to it is a chest packed with the cure.
They're Sacred Antidotes, and they aren't splash potions. "We got to drink them too, man." Both of them take a stack.
Around the edge
The castle sits across more of the poisoned water, so they bridge around the edge on whatever blocks they have, clay first and then dirt. One of them runs out and the other hands some over. "Those are good blocks." There's soul sand on the route, and they raise the path so it won't slow them on the way back.
An island ahead has three spawners on it, skeletons among them. Charged creepers come up out of the water. One of them finds out mid-fight that the bow has no Infinity. "Dang it, this bow doesn't have infinity."
Inside, a wall full of blocks blows up and turns out to be silverfish blocks. Charged creepers keep coming from spawners higher up, and they pillar up with dirt to break one. A ladder leads to the battlements, where they take out two more spawners on a catwalk.
Six seconds
Then the plague guys show up. "Kill them from a distance." One of them falls down a hole and the slimy mobs follow, and one falls to its death. "They're not smart."
The next group gets closer. "I'm hit." "Me too." "Do the thing." The chat spells it out in red: ">>> GREEN PLAGUE <<< You have 6 seconds to consume a Sacred Antidote."
Both of them drink in time. The mobs keep hitting while they drink, so one of them goes through three antidotes. Their guess afterward is to kill the mobs first and then drink, since the timer gives them a few seconds.
Swords and lava
A side room has a chest with a Mithril Sword, an Unbreaking III book, golden apples and lapis. "Put that in your pipe and smoke it." One of them already has a legendary blade, described as "a never-ending source of high voltage electricity," that gives Resistance while it's held.
A stack of spawners to the right puts out charged creepers, potion creepers "and other bad stuff." One of them pours lava into the room. A lot of creepers come out at once, but the spawners go down.
Winter's Heart
Past that room is a chestplate called Winter's Heart, a Legendary Item with Protection IV and Projectile Protection III. "You can feel the cold gust emanating from this armor from a dozen meters away." Taking damage can stun every enemy nearby.
Basket's inventory already has the Robe of the Pyromancer, with Fire Protection IV, Thorns III and a chance to deal 12 damage to everything nearby. The castle has more rooms, but they call it there. "I think this is the end of an episode."
Nobody dies. The counter ends at Scoti 78, Basket 73. The monument isn't shown, so the totals carry over: 13 of 16 crystals and 9 of 12 emerald blocks.
