Don't catch fire

Two players in diamond armor crossing a stone bridge to a wooden gate whose sign reads "Red Crystal", "Area: Fort Vhisarion" and "5 Emeralds"

The first sign inside sets the rule for the whole level: "They gain STRENGTH when someone nearby is on fire." The story they read out says the fortress once belonged to warlocks. A dragon called Vhisarion destroyed it, and the warlocks who lived swore to serve the dragon forever. Over the centuries the dragon became their god, and some say Vhisarion is still alive, protected by their black magic. "Man, I hate black magic. We just dealt with black magic."

So the plan is water. Both of them carry buckets, and they put water down by the entrance bridge to make an infinite pool.

Spawners everywhere

The courtyard has lava pits, blaze spawners with mobs riding the blazes, and those mobs have thorns. They also leave fire on the ground as they move. A ghast shows up even though they think this is an ocean biome, so it has to be coming from a spawner. Then the worse news: "Charged creeper on fire! That's a problem." The charged ones take about three hits each, where everything else dies in one.

One of them finds diamonds next to a spawner. Inside the first building there are more spawners than torches, and a ghast spawner upstairs. A chest has a fire protection book, a golden apple and a potion that lasts four minutes, saved for later.

Upstairs on the other side there are skeletons riding other skeletons, and withers. One of them runs ahead hitting spawners while the other clears mobs. "I went up and procced everything and then you killed everything."

Warlocks

A blaze spawner sits right in the middle of a lava pool, and new mobs show up near it. "Dudes with books and villager heads." "They're warlocks." Later, one stands close enough to show its name tag.

They water down the sides of the walkways in case anyone falls, then pick the building on the left as the next target.

Blown up

Inside, it goes bad fast. "Charged creepers! Oh God!" Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was blown up by Infernal Creeper," and the counter goes to 98. The bed is still all the way back at the start. "I can't believe our beds are still back here, but that's how Minecraft works."

Scoti decides that's the end of the episode. Basket goes in after the gear and comes out with "a chunk of your stuff." One of them is also taking damage when placing water, without being poisoned. "Is there something in that level that we can't use water without hurting ourselves?" Nobody has an answer yet.

Restock

They head back for food and more torches, since they're going through torches fast. The charged creepers seem to come from somewhere upstairs, and there's still no sign of their spawner.

This episode's deaths: Scoti once, Basket none. The counter ends at Scoti 98, Basket 75. The monument isn't shown, so the totals carry over: 14 of 16 crystals and 10 of 12 emerald blocks.
