Last time ended with a plan: get above the orb and put water on it. This episode opens with Team B.S. standing right on top of it. The counter opens at Scoti 146, Basket 122.
Water from above
Some of the rock up here is bedrock, so they look for a way down around it. One of them digs straight down toward the lava. "Well, this is a very Scoti idea." "It's a very out-of-the-box approach." The digger keeps it simple: "I'm just gonna say words like safe exit and survive over and over and over again."
The idea is an infinite water spring right above the middle of the orb. A water bucket gets handed over, the water goes in, and the light starts changing. "The top is out." The bottom might still be open, but now they can dig in from the top.
Inside the orb
They expected solid lava. "Oh no dude, it wasn't solid lava." Something in there still shoots at them, and there are no spawners inside. "I think it is a ghast. Potentially invisible."
The puffs of smoke they've been seeing get an answer too. "You can see the bats spawn and then all of a sudden they die. And then there's a puff of smoke." So the smoke can be ignored.
Then chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis fell from a high place," and the counter goes to 147. The gear ends up down below. They close the orb back up, figuring that with it fully encased, it can't see them anymore.
Shadow of Aris
A little later, chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Shadow of Aris." The counter goes to 148. The speed armor and the good bow and sword are now down in the hall with a lot of mobs, poisonous spiders among them.
"You are not going to quit on me now, BasketMC." Things pick up a little. Wool turns into a bed, and an ender pearl turns up. "Everything's better. Nothing bad will ever happen again."
Lightning and bombs
Basket throws a lightning trap down at the crowd to thin it out. It keeps landing too far away. "Nope, too far away, sadly." An arcane bomb comes out too, aimed at spawners on the far side.
Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Shadow of Aris" a second time, and the counter goes to 149.
Stuck in a lava pit
The next attempt ends somewhere worse. "I'm stuck in a lava pit and I need help." There's no water bucket left and no pick. Then: "Oh, my stuff just despawned. I just watched it all despawn." "Everything is heading for you." Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis burned to death." The counter goes to 150.
Some of it worked. Obsidian over the spawners made them tricky, but a bunch on the right are down. "On the left there's at least one." The episode ends with the saved gear going back into a chest.
