A new intersection, a new level, and a new kind of mob. The death counter starts at Basket 38, Scoti 23 and ends at Basket 39, Scoti 23. The one death comes halfway up a ladder.

A button that only goes one way

It opens at a button. Scoti admits to thinking they had to dig through, and started breaking it before Basket stopped them. One of them still thinks it's a trap. The other has seen this in other maps and guesses it leads to a portal room with a way back. They press it. "Nope, that was one way." It drops them at the monument, so they sort some loot at base and walk all the way back. The gravel goes in the misc chest to trade later with "those two guys."

Intersection two

The next hub has three signs: the Mycelium Mines, the Unholy Marshlands and the Azarian Catacombs. Nobody remembers which wool comes next on the monument, so they bet on yellow "just based on the pattern." They pick the Mycelium Mines, with the disclaimer "I'm not saying this is the right one."

A chest near the start holds wood and fences. "Apparently there's gonna be some bridge building." They put fences along the edges so they don't get knocked off, partly so a viewer who always asks for it won't have to type the comment.

Mushroom guys

Zombies fall from the ledges first. Then come the mushroom guys: red, spotted mobs with a lot of armor. They drop what looks like mushroom stew, but the tooltip says otherwise. It's a Bowl of Stewed Spiders with Bane of Arthropods III and Efficiency II, "crawling with nutrition." They seem to have a potion effect too, and the bow works better on them than swords do. "Isn't there a band called Mushroom Head?"

One of them loses the magic sword from earlier and then says they can't believe they haven't died in two episodes. "Dude, don't say stuff like that." Someone kills a creeper with a full charge before it can blow up.

The ladder

There's a ladder up to a ledge. On the way someone knocks out the only torch, and it goes bad fast. Things are being thrown at them, and Basket is slain by a zombie. The other one makes it through on about two hearts.

They work out what happened afterward. The mushroom guys throw instant damage potions, and drop them when they die. A creeper blast broke the fence above, which is why mobs keep falling down. New plan: skip the ladder, pillar up with cobblestone, and shoot from a distance. "This is probably the worst idea ever." It works well enough to get Basket's gear back.

Top-shelf stew

Up top they break a spawner of zombies in special armor, which turns out to be the one the other wanted to keep. Iron ore in the wall vanishes when it's mined with a gold pick, but a chest has an iron block. Then come the chests of soup. "Oh my god, that's a lot of stew." One opinion: "We got like the cheap stuff, the mid-grade, this is top-shelf stew." The mushroom guys also drop Feather Falling III boots.

One of them finds a knockback sword they forgot they had and trades it for a stone one. One last chest down a hallway has Night Vision and Projectile Protection. With a zombie coming at them and about twenty minutes recorded, they call it.
