The last trip into the Unholy Marshlands is short and messy. The counter starts at Basket 45, Scoti 30, the lake takes one more life, and by the end the lime wool is on the monument and nobody wants to go back.
Creepers everywhere
It opens with a creeper and a pack of zombies that won't leave. "Guess what? His buddies are still there." One of them draws fire with the bow from a walkway while the other heads for a chest, and the creeper standing by it turns out to be a decoration. "It's a freaking creeper head." There is a real creeper spawner in the corner, though, and the poison-throwing mobs and the purple ones are all over the place. A lip built around one ledge doesn't help. "I put a lip on it, thinking it would be okay. It's not okay."
The chest pays off. On Basket's screen it holds TNT and a dyed chestplate called the Anti-Blast Hauberk, with Blast Protection IV and Unbreaking II. It goes straight on. A little later, two creeper spawners are gone.
Digging for the box
Then a change of plan. "I'm thinking about just going after the fleecy box." Instead of clearing the marsh, they go underground. Out of blocks, one of them collects dirt and cobble and pillars up, and they tunnel toward each other through dirt and stone, putting blocks in the gaps so the zombies can't follow. A splash potion of harming comes in from somewhere along the way.
They come up under the fleecy box and break in through the bottom. "It's kind of cheaty, but too bad." Right away it goes wrong. "I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die." Down to half a heart, the other one gets the news out anyway: "I got lime wool. Okay, 27 pieces of lime wool." Some of it gets passed over before they run, and one piece goes on a wall as a backup, the way they've seen Etho do it, so there would be one left to find if they both died in the lake.
One more drowning
The way out is a swim up past the spawners to some ladders. Basket makes it. Scoti doesn't: the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis drowned," and the counter goes to 31. "31 deaths, that was rough."
With no armor left to lose, Scoti jumps back in after the gear. It takes some fumbling in the dark, a search for the ladders and a warning about purple mobs, but it works. "I got almost all my stuff." They're of one mind about the marsh. "I say we get out of here and we never come back." "Yep, great idea."
Lime on the monument
Somewhere in all that, Scoti picked up a creeper head without meaning to. "How did I get that? I don't know." Scoti wears it all the way back.
At the monument, there's a little back and forth over whose turn it is to place the wool. "I don't know if it's my turn, but I am gonna say I earned it." The lime wool goes in next to the yellow, with Scoti at the wall. That makes white, orange, magenta, light blue, yellow and lime.
Packing for explosions
They resupply before the next area. Something at the other intersection hinted at gunpowder ahead, so they expect it to be "very blowy." Basket keeps the hauberk on, and the gear on Basket's screen leans toward blast protection: golden leggings with Protection II and Blast Protection II, and Hazard Boots with Blast Protection II and Fire Protection II. They grab steak, a healing potion and a couple of spare swords, and leave the harming potions alone. One of them is still waiting on comparators. "I think you need to focus more on the completing this mission part."
The episode ends at the rails, with a minecart ride to the next place and a promise that nobody gets dropped in lava.
