"Tonight we get the pink wool, we hope." That's the plan going in. The death counter reads Basket 46, Scoti 33 at the start, and it still reads that at the end. The pink wool never shows up, but a lot of other strange things do.
Spawners in the woodwork
Between episodes one of them dug some iron out of another room and brought back the chest stuff they didn't want to forget. Then it's back to the catacombs, where the first spawner is hidden inside the wood paneling. A skeleton pops out of a hole, a zombie follows, and the cobwebs need cutting. An axe breaks. There's another library nearby and the sound of silverfish. "I'm not even being funny about it."
A name over the wall
Then one of them sees a name floating over a mob in the distance. "There's a boss coming up." The other can't see it at all. A creeper nearly gets them, a skeleton comes around the side, and some of the mobs are wearing armor. "I am beat up bad." Zombies keep walking past them toward something, which turns out to be the named mob: a villager called Master Chef. Maybe a hostage, they guess. Maybe a good guy.
Master Chef trades. The goods are wild. Pants of Uber come with Protection IV, Fire Protection IV, Feather Falling II, Unbreaking II, Blast Protection X and something called Manly Buff IV. There's a Berserk Brew, a High Quality Willow Branch ("I hear trolls use these for clubs staves"), and a Lucky Cake with Unbreaking X and the note "Perhaps you shouldn't eat it just yet." Payment is things like bread, spider eyes, cake and Azarian gems. "You see that armor? What on earth."
Another chest holds a Frying Pan with Smite II, Knockback I, Fire Aspect VI, Looting I and Flame II, plus an egg. They try to box Master Chef in so the zombies can't reach through and hit the villager.
Arrows, then blazes
Down the next hall, "Whoa! Arrow trap!" It unloads a pile of arrows before they find the dropper behind it. Then a room of blazes. "Hell's blazes!" One of them drops to two and a half hearts and backs off to eat. Someone catches fire and asks for a water bucket, and the answer is no, only lava, "that would not help me right now." The fire burns the steps in front of them. A splash potion gets used, and with that they're out of splash potions. They break the blaze spawner and a zombie spawner and move on.
Gifts for a king
The next room has chests with signs on them. The Proxian Riot Shield has Knockback II, "A heavy but powerful shield," and plus 20 max health, but they figure if you place it, it's just a door. There's an Energy Drink with Saturation V and Speed III. And there's the Kingly Get-Away Weapon, a bow with Punch X and Unbreaking IV, "as ordered by the King." "You'd never be able to repair it either." One of them takes it anyway.
The last chests have an Unbreaking III book, some arrows, and iron boots, which go to whoever's "boots are gone." Iron swords stay behind for later.
Not better than the power bow
About 16 minutes into recording, a creeper and a crowd of skeletons give them a chance to test the king's bow. "This thing doesn't even knock them back that far." The power bow wins. Another creeper nearly ends it, more blazes show up and get blocked off, and they climb to a chest up high. Inside: a Fire Protection IV book, a regeneration potion and an ender pearl.
There's a horde and a pack of blazes waiting around the corner. "I'm saying we call it here, dude." So they do.
