Part 5 ended with a horde and a pack of blazes around the corner. Part 6 starts right in the middle of them. The death counter reads Basket 46, Scoti 33 at the start and still reads that at the end, which is a small miracle given how the first five minutes go.
Blazes first
A sword breaks. "Oh man, another sword broke." Someone eats a golden apple, and they go in after the blazes, with a creeper joining in for good measure. A little before the two minute mark the blaze spawner is down. There are two chests on top of it, but they only hold stone and stuff. Silverfish show up too.
Spawners on the roof
Then poison spiders, from somewhere they can't see. "They're coming from the top." The spawners are up on the roof, so somebody would have to pillar up there. For a moment one of them thinks the other is about to do it, and they both end up running back. "I might have misled you." One of them drinks what they call a "super Healy absorption thing." They're out of torches and have to make more.
Past the cobwebs, a chest full of string and feathers holds a sword called Webslasher, with Bane of Arthropods III, Efficiency II and Knockback I. Good timing for a spider level.
The pink wool
"This is the way to the fleecy box. I guess it's gonna be full of spiders." The plan this time is simple: don't die near the fleecy box. There's a spawning room right above the door, so one of them blocks the entrance instead of fighting it. They tunnel in to a glass and red brick box, and inside is a chest packed with pink wool. "It took us one more episode, but we did it." Each of them takes a share.
On the way out they try a path they skipped. Weighted pressure plates go on the "don't stand on these" list, something comes at them from above, and a chest holds what looks "like somebody's death chest": golden armor, iron ore and a C418 music disc called "mall." They leave it for another day.
A room with four doors
The new way runs close to Master Chef, the villager from last time, which starts a short argument about whether the name is a Halo joke. Then a sign: Quick Travel, Traveller's Respite, Two Way. "Oh, it's a two-way, that's awesome."
Beyond it is a huge quartz room with glowstone pillars and signs. One points back to the Azarian Catacombs. The others say Alchemical Stronghold, Losing Your Marbles and Hypercharged. They guess at the colors: black or dark gray wool for the stronghold, light gray for Losing Your Marbles, and turquoise for Hypercharged, which "sounds bad." They also can't agree on where the alchemist's book said the cursed enchanting table went. One of them thinks it's the stronghold.
They're low on supplies, so railings can wait. There's a secret in the room somewhere, maybe up on the crossbeams.
The wall of semi-victory
They clear a few silverfish blocks so Master Chef is safe and the path is open, then take the drop down to Traveller's Respite. It's a long fall. "Just grab this vine on the way down, it's totally easy. All you gotta do is fall to your death." Steps will get built later.
At the monument, Basket puts the pink wool in its slot next to white, orange, magenta, light blue, yellow and lime. The extras go to their "super secret place," and they end it right there, "in front of our wall of semi-victory."
