They head back into the dark cave from last time, and it goes wrong almost at once. Most of this episode is getting their stuff back, losing it again, and getting it back again.
That's one way to start
The spawners are straight ahead, and one of them goes to light them up as best he can. Then: oh god, I'm going to die. Back up. Well, that's one way to start the episode. Skeletons, plus not having eaten back up to full health first.
Chat starts filling up right away. Scoti is slain by a zombie, Basket is slain by a zombie and wakes up at the bed, and soon after Basket is shot by a skeleton. Their things are scattered on the floor of a room full of webs.
They're wearing all our stuff
Going back for it is its own fight. Poison spiders, skeletons, a zombie at your elbow, and webs you can't back out of. Worse, the mobs have picked up the gear. One zombie is wearing all the good armor and carrying a shield.
The diamond axe is the thing one of them most wants back, his favorite item so far, and it turns up in an inventory. Someone admits to a suicide torch run, throwing torches left and right with two skeletons still standing there. By one count the deaths are now tied.
Bread, cookies and a zombie parade
A chest finally gives up some food, bread first, and they split it. Cookies and melon get passed around too. The spiders that show up next are the regular kind, which is a relief, since the ones that killed them were poisonous.
Then a crowd of zombies, all wearing boots and acting weird. They never did do a zombie parade, one of them notes. It ends with a stack of zombie flesh and a creeper that goes off where it shouldn't. The moral of the story: try not to let creepers blow up.
Not enough to one-hit silverfish
Basket is shot by a skeleton again, this time with the full You died screen, and asks where he died. In a very bad place. Back on his feet, he is missing a lot of his things. Bread, a shield and a helmet get handed over.
A Sharpness I, Knockback I stone sword turns up, which is still not enough to one-hit the silverfish. They are running low on bread and will have to farm some food soon. There was iron in a minecart by the spider spawner, and a golden apple left on the ground. Scoti dies to a cave spider while they work toward it.
We moved like an inch
They break two more spawners and get one life saved in the nick of time. Poison spiders have never been so bad, one of them says. All their spare stuff goes back in the chest around the corner, and someone needs new boots.
The verdict is honest. They moved about an inch. It might be a short episode, so they call it there and regroup.
