A fresh start, as promised. They go back to a level they skipped on the way to the water, poke around until they find the parts they never finished, and leave with an emerald and an axe with a name.

Two empty minecarts

It opens on a rail with two empty minecarts on it, and they keep rolling back into whoever is on the track. One of them gives up on the cart entirely. The end of the line has a sign for Forlorn Legacy, but those numbers are way bigger than where they should be right now. Plan B. They bust the extra carts, someone gets blocks out of it, and they call that problem solved, just like they planned it.

The level they skipped

The way back runs to the lava crossing and the bridges. This level has a lower number than the one they were just in, but they skipped ahead because they wanted water. Now they have water, so a bucket goes down at the bottom to give mobs somewhere else to spawn.

The bridge brings out the trust issues. One of them would rather not go first with the other right behind him, because player collision could knock him off. Not on purpose, he says. You're not getting a Christmas card, comes the reply.

There is the old temporary bed spawn, which they take with them, and a lot of paths that already have torches on them. One passage just leads to the Drizzling Cove sign, the water level they have already done, so they turn around.

Like a first-person shooter

Past that it gets dark, with skeletons, creepers and poison spiders. Arrows are not a problem anymore, thanks to the grinder. A zombie turns up with a bow, Power I by the look of it. Part of one bridge is missing because one of them wanted logs. There is more nudging on a bridge, and an argument over who failed to communicate.

A spawner sits on top of a gravel pillar, and nearby there is an indicator pointing the way to the wool. Where the emeralds are, nobody knows. Maybe down by the lava. Somewhere in the mess a book with Fire Protection I drops.

A very long tripwire

Further on, a bridge with green glass. It's a trap. Gravel falls on both sides of the bridge, with creepers behind it. They trace the trigger afterward: pressure plates out on the bridge, wired to a tripwire that runs all the way up and loops along the ceiling. That was a very long tripwire.

Then blazes. Someone is on fire, and there is a short dispute about a water bucket that was supposedly put in somebody's chest a long time ago. One of them still has one, so the fire goes out.

An emerald in the gravel

Ahead is a cage of iron bars with something in it. Hopefully a fire stick, or something like it. Getting there takes out two blaze spawners and several creeper spawners hidden in the gravel. Arrows fly in both directions, and one of them builds himself a little Scoti wall to heal behind.

Then the find: an emerald, tucked into a chest inside the gravel. The other one checks a second chest first in case it is trapped, so nobody dies holding the emerald. It is full of enchanted books. Inventories are full, so coal, flint and gunpowder get juggled or dumped. They have a spawner for gunpowder and the grinder for feathers.

The Titan Axe

The cage holds a Grand Treasure Chest, and in it the Titan Axe: Knockback III, Fire Aspect III, Looting III, Unbreaking III. A super axe thing with looting, worth holding on to. A stone axe goes in its place so the room does not go off like the temple in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

One last scare

They try to wrap it up there, and something gives one of them a real scare at the last second, while he is holding two good things.
