Titan Axe: Untold Stories 4 Episode 15

  • Published on

This one is mostly creepers. There are creeper spawners in the walls and the floor, a few of the creepers are charged, and one of them is carrying the emeralds the whole time. Basket comes out of it with a new axe. The emerald at the bottom of the area has to wait.

It builds tension

The episode opens with a complaint: somebody should have mentioned the creepers. Then one of them spots a secret area that's probably hiding an emerald, gets it open, and is very proud of it. "Look at me, pro! I did it all by myself, nobody helped." There was a little hint, the other admits.

The one holding the emeralds has no plans to leave them behind for the fighting. "Nobody can stop me. I'm gonna make my friend so angry." It builds tension, they decide. At least the bottom of this map isn't lava.

Brewing stands and boots

The next hallway has spawners, an odd obsidian block and a brewing stand. One of them is surprised they don't have nether wart yet, given how early they got the enchanting table. The other is practicing critical hits for the warlock class in Monumenta.

They light the spawners up instead of breaking them, to keep their options open. One of them spots an emerald in the water. A pair of chain boots turns up with Protection II, Feather Falling III and Unbreaking, and one of them decides to hang on to both, because it "really ups the angle of oh man, will he die, won't he die." They also take bookshelves and two brewing stands.

Past that is a long hall with red carpet and creeper spires down both sides. Basket has the Tune of Pyre in hand. One of them is saving arrows by using "my knockback fire stuff," and the other is saving the emeralds by using a bow. "I don't want you to die, unlike normal."

A Grand Treasure Chest has the Titan Axe, with Knockback III, Fire Aspect III, Looting III and Unbreaking I. "Can you use that, or no?" "No, it's all you, man." It ends up in Basket's hotbar, in place of a sword. There are two golden apples too, which one of them saves for the end of the map.

Charged creepers

The next stretch is a maze-like hall with creeper spawners in the walls and floor. Then come the charged creepers. One of them says some of the obsidian spires are probably trapped, so maybe don't break them.

"I decided to run in and chance it. Not my best move." Whoever has the emeralds is told, again, not to die. They use water to keep the charged creepers back while the spawners get lit up. Then someone looks down and spots an emerald at the bottom.

They think this area has two emeralds, possibly numbers 10 and 11. Then they realize this is the third room, so maybe three.

Sand, water, ladders

One of them has an idea. They break the glass under the sand, so the sand drops down a level and takes their pillar with it, while water around the outside pushes the creepers back. Ladders go in as they go. It's slow. Spawners take forever to break underwater.

Part way through, one of them gets suffocated by the sand. "If you lose the emeralds because you suffocated me with sand..." They run low on sand, share what's left, and keep stacking ladders down one wall. "It's like surgery. We're so good."

They don't reach the emerald. "I thought we were gonna get it." Next time.
