A new area, and a big one. Primeval Woods is a tall, rainy jungle full of zombies, creepers and Endermen. They lose a man early, lose each other after that, and come out the other end with a chest full of gold tools.

Gold and glass

It opens at the monument. The gold block goes in, then "some emerald action," and they decide they're about halfway through. One of them takes a piece of colored glass back to the house and has second thoughts: "I think I went from having not enough windows to having too many windows."

On the walk to the intersection, one of them admits to "cheating on the world a little bit" with Stardew Valley. They're in year two, with two or three rooms of the community center done, and it's the kind of game you can play without recording, editing and uploading it.

That was me

The name Primeval Woods reminds one of them of an old Sega Genesis fighting game with dinosaurs. Neither of them owned a Genesis. There's a connection from here back to the last level, but it's been dirted over "to kill the water."

The place is tall and crowded: zombies, creepers, parrots, and a lot of Endermen. One of them jumps into a giant tree on purpose ("I was gonna be super pro"). Then someone looks at an Enderman. "Whoa, that was me. I looked at it." The chat line reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Enderman." Scoti comes back in the hallway, which at least makes the stuff easy to get to, but some of the dropped gear fell further down, boots included. The other one picked them up. "Here's your boots."

Two different ways

It's raining, which doesn't help. There's an emerald somewhere near a very big tree, and they each go a different way to find it. A boat is harder than it used to be, since you can't make one out of mixed wood anymore. One of them finds a supplies chest with arrows and plenty of blocks. Then comes the argument about who left whom. "I took a boat to a place and you weren't there." "You're the one that ran away." They both turn out to be at the beginning.

A clue on a sign

Inside a stone tower there's a lit room with redstone lamps and a sign: "Return to the big star in the sky as he guides you to the blade." One of them worries moving the lamps will set something off. Nothing happens. "It's just words." Near a waterfall a skeleton drops a "magicy bow" with Punch, killed so fast "he didn't even get a shot off."

Sleeping off the rain

They wonder if it always rains here, and if that's why things were lagging. They wall off a safe spot, one of them sleeps, and the rain stops. Past that is a patch of differently colored blocks laid out "like a monument thing." They decide it's "just meant to throw us off the trail."

The Grand Treasure Chest

A big building with stairs comes next. "Watch for string." There are spawners on both sides, and it might make "a decent spot for an XP grinder." Someone gets set on fire along the way.

The chest at the top is a Grand Treasure Chest: three golden apples and a set of gold tools with names. The pickaxe is the Cage Crusher 3000 (Unbreaking V, Fortune III, Efficiency I), and the axe is the Razor Chopper (Sharpness III, Looting II, Unbreaking V). "They have funny names." One of them keeps the sword, and the episode ends there.
