The recording starts with a potion already down and a cave full of trouble: archers on top of blazes, ghasts, and creepers coming out of the dark. The plan is to build a covered path across to a box on the far side. It costs a chest, a helmet and one death, but the box is worth it.
Losing the chest
"Arrow guys on top of blazes." One of them is trying to build a bridge while a ghast keeps showing up from somewhere. "Geez man, I'm trying to build a bridge, let me build a bridge." Then a chest gets blown up, and it held the building blocks. "We need all that stuff or we'll not be able to build anything." One of them loses a helmet. They set up a new chest farther back, and one of them makes a run to grab as much of the building material as they can.
The idea is a tunnel: "If you can build a tunnel, then we don't have to worry about a lot of the spawners." The ghasts seem to spawn from behind a pillar. Somebody calls out a zombie, and somebody else saves a life. Safety rails on the sides would help too.
Blown up
Not everyone makes it. "BasketMC was blown up by Creeper." Basket comes back with an empty hotbar and a long walk. "So many natural spawns." Some of Basket's things end up gathered into a single chest, and the rest is sorted out over the next few minutes.
The fire resistance runs out, and nobody has another one. There are coal blocks but no wood, and a record that may be lost. Even so: "This place is awesome. This is my favorite level so far. Lots of resources."
The death tunnel
Arrows are the next problem. "Zero arrows. I can't shoot anybody." A special mob shows up and goes down fast ("murder, murder, murder"). There's a short argument about putting a roof on the tunnel. One of them would rather have cover; the other is afraid of getting stuck side by side, hitting each other. "I've got Minecraft claustrophobic problem." There's also a warning about the bow, which has Punch on it.
A ghast keeps after them. They talk about pushing it away with water, or with a piston, but nobody has any redstone. "Can't believe the safest place to be right now is in that death tunnel." Someone's voice cracks under the stress, and it gets noticed. "You're in a stressful situation, I understand."
Slowly the tunnel reaches across. "All right, I'm almost at a point where I can reach out and finish it." "Good job." A nasty mob right above drops what looks like good stuff, straight down into the lava.
The box
At the end there's glass in the way, and someone goes to get the ladders. "I got it. I got the box." Then the bow guy shows up, and there's fire around their chests. The Grand Treasure Chest holds The Mountain Smasher: a diamond pickaxe with Efficiency IV, Unbreaking III and Fortune IV, marked Legendary Set.
It isn't the way forward. "So this isn't where we need to go." "No, but it's good. It's a good pick." A Fortune pick was exactly what they were waiting on for the monument's diamond block, and this spot has diamond ore all over the walls.
Packing up
They mine out what they can, careful about what they're standing on. They want the coal and skip the string and gravel. There are more coal blocks lower down, so they can come back later. One of them now has "a stack and change of diamonds." The plan is to run everything back to base and put the diamond block on the monument. They work their way down and sign off.
