A village in the morning

The village from the end of the last episode is right there in the daylight, and the villagers are still alive. "Okay good, people are alive." The fields are planted, which surprises Basket. "I don't remember planting anything, that's interesting." It takes a while to work out which of the known villages this is. "Maybe this is the first town actually."

The trade screens do the talking. A farmer takes wheat at 18 for an emerald, and Basket's 40 wheat brings in two. More trades follow with the villagers here, a shepherd takes the wool, and the stack goes from 38 to 43. What this village doesn't seem to have is the one villager Basket needs. "I don't think this town has a butcher."

The butcher takes the pork

So Basket sprints to the third village, skipping the pigs on the way for once. A librarian, a weaponsmith, a leatherworker, and then the right one. "Butcher, yes! Okay, so he took all of that, great." Raw pork and raw chicken go across, and the emerald count jumps.

Then the pork trade locks up, crossed out in red on the trade screen. Buying something from a villager can open a locked trade, so Basket spends an emerald on cooked chicken, then another. "Did that help? No." The trade stays shut. "So I wasted two emeralds but I am up to 56, which is pretty sweet."

Nothing else quite fits

The rest of the village is close but not quite there. The leatherworker wants nine leather and Basket has eight. A librarian wants paper. With nothing to cook the beef, it stays raw, and Basket replants some of the farm before heading out at sunset to look for the first village again.

Another night of zombies

Night means zombies, and they come in groups again across the dark plains. "So I have attracted the attention of those zombies." Basket keeps collecting pork and other drops in case a different village will take them. "Let me try and get some pork and stuff in case this is a different village where I can trade pork."

The new plan is to work the villages in the morning. "Once it's morning I think that's when I'll head over into the town." A skeleton comes up close, and Basket decides to skip it. "I'll just run away, that's fine."

Creepers at the gate

The sky goes red, and there's a village on the horizon. Creepers wait in the flowers on the way in. "Let's take out these creepers on the way in." Instead, three of them go off one after another, leaving craters in the grass. Basket eats some of the cooked chicken and watches for the sun to do its work. "He's burning up, so that will be the end of this episode."

Day seven ends with Basket alive at the edge of a village in full iron armor, holding 56 emeralds and still a lot of pork. "Hopefully this town takes pork, and if not, the other town that I just saw." The game is paused, and the credits follow with no gameplay after them.
