Melons and a Portal Frame: Beam Streamer UHC S2 Episode 1

  • Published on

The second Family Friendly Beam Streamer UHC puts 14 players into seven random teams of two on Minecraft 1.11.2, with auto smelting on and level 2 potions off. Health does not come back on its own, so every lost heart counts. The episode opens in a sky lobby with "Episode 1" across the screen, and the Tab list shows Basket on the teal team with KSores.

Seven teams in the sky

While the players float around the lobby, a voice reads the rules. The world is "1,000 by 1,000," and "there will be seven teams of two." There are no notch apples, team damage is on, and "the world border will start shrinking after one hour," down to 100 by 100. Names stay hidden for the first 20 minutes under the gentleman's rule, and nobody is supposed to attack anyone until then.

The Tab list matches the count: Isogravity and Kuya_SGA in blue, bUMP3rCarzz and joehillssays in gray, Sir_Oswyn and Slyther_ in red, BasketMC and KSores in teal, MilesPernicious and MrSquishy in green, Gavisas and alan_animal in purple, and Brenin_1 and Kondrik in gold. Then the countdown runs, "Start in 3 seconds," 2, 1, and "BEGIN!!!"

A jungle start

Basket lands high in a jungle. First comes wood, then a crafting table and tools, then cows and a pig for food, with an apple dropping from the leaves now and then. In chat, Kuya_SGA reminds everyone: "Gentleman's Rule ends as soon as name tags are visable."

A voice on the call has a plan for healing: find melons, go to the Nether, and "make a large amount of health potions." Sugar cane is on the list too, for enchanting.

Melons and a village

Basket leaves the jungle for open grass full of chickens, with KSores close by, and breaks a cluster of melon blocks at the jungle's edge. Over the next rise sits a village. A voice reports a blacksmith with "three apples and three iron ingots," and then "42 books" from two libraries.

Down through the blacksmith

The sun is setting, so Basket digs straight down through the blacksmith floor into the dark. There is no coal yet, and a voice plans to cook logs into charcoal for the first torches. Soon Basket carries a shield in the off hand and has swapped the stone pickaxe for an iron one.

Gold in the dark

The tunnel opens into a cave with coal and gold ore, and Basket digs out the gold. A voice suggests blocking off a few side passages so mobs have fewer ways in.

Lava into obsidian

Deeper down they find a pool of lava next to running water. A voice counts the lava, "one, two, three, four, five, six," and they decide there is enough for a Nether portal. Basket fills buckets of lava and water and pours them into place, and a column of obsidian rises beside the water. "Ta-da!" They leave the frame there for now. A voice says, "I wouldn't feel comfortable going to the Nether right now," not before they have iron armor.

Then chat posts "UHC BLOX | Mark | 20 Minutes" and "UHC BLOX | Names | Visible," so the gentleman's rule is over. Basket ends the episode underground with full hearts, an iron sword and an iron pickaxe, and no one has been knocked out on screen.
