Episode 2 picks up where the first one left off, underground, with The Sparkling Party still "caving down here trying to gather much needed supplies." The iron keeps coming. "Here is seven more pieces of iron." A look at the Tab list shows fourteen names, and TopStiGear's sits in red with a 2 next to it. "Oh, that sucks. He's only at two."
Helmets, boots and the waiting game
Someone wants to go back up to the surface for food. The answer is to wait for armor first, and to take it slow: "If we play the waiting game, I have a feeling there's not going to be many people left to contend with." The furnace turns the ore into ingots, and the armor starts to appear. "Here's a helmet for you and one for Lost." A little later: "I just made boots for two of us now." The room they are working in has a few open sides, so they seal it up, with one warning: "Remember witches."
Someone else finds diamonds first
Chat lights up: "Th3pooka has just earned the achievement [DIAMONDS!]" Basket types "cheats" into chat, and Scoti_Garbidis answers with "cheater." Then it is the team's turn. "Oh, I see diamond." The diamonds sit low in a ravine where water and lava run together, and Basket goes down with a water bucket to stay safe. A bit of gold goes the wrong way. "How do I only get one gold from that? I guess it actually did burn up."
Creepers in the ravine
The ravine is busy. "I hear a skeleton above my head." A creeper keeps finding its way toward the team. "That creeper is wanting you something fierce." "All right, I killed the creeper." Down in the ravine, a creeper stands on the obsidian between the lava and the water. On the call, a reminder that "the grace period is over," and a question nobody quite answers: are they going to fight, or run?
Pants for everybody
The iron count climbs to 19. "One more piece of iron and we could all make pants." It takes a couple more pieces than that, but the pants get made: "I'll make everybody a pair of pants." Diamonds are one short of what they want. "One more piece of diamond and we could start enchanting." The plan is to staircase down rather than jump up and down in the water, and the water bucket in Basket's hotbar turns lava pools along the way into black obsidian floors. Someone thinks there is a witch "stuck in a corner" at the far end, with lava in between.
Forty minutes in
One more cave opens up, with "more gold" in it. Then "40 MINUTES" shows up in chat, and the episode ends there. Basket is alive and underground with lostinthefort and PsychoSFK, with iron pants made for all three.
