The team cards roll again, then "Season One GopherCraft UHC," and Episode 3 picks up right where the last one stopped: deep in the ravine, lava on one side, water on the other. "I guess what we're doing is searching for a diamond. Yeah, one little diamond."
The diamond they needed
A skeleton rattles somewhere nearby, but nobody can find it. Then: "I see diamonds." A spider drops in from above and goes down fast ("got a mid-air"), chat shows lostinthefort earning Monster Hunter, and the spider leaves one string. "It's a start." A block of diamond ore sits right between the lava and the water, and before long three diamonds go into Basket's crafting grid as a diamond pickaxe.
The goals for the trip get said out loud: obsidian, an enchanting table and iron swords before anyone heads back up. The ravine floor is already obsidian where water ran over lava.
PvP is off, then on
Chat has news from the rest of the server: "<TopStiGearGaming> PVP is Disabled." On the call: "It looks like PvP is disabled. That's ironic." Somewhere else on the map, players had tried to fight: "I guess they're trying to fight." Word goes to the host, who is no longer in the match, and a "Reenabled" line soon follows. TopStiGearGaming answers "was better like that," and derpguru adds "yeah turn it off again XD."
Basket opens the Tab list around the same time. Fourteen names are on it, and Basket sits at 75 health. Virii333 is down at 17.
A table in the ravine
Back at the furnaces and the chest, an enchanting table goes down next to the crafting table. Level one enchants are the plan for now ("I can always combine it later"). Basket's iron boots come out with Protection I, the chestplates follow, and the hopes on the call run to Projectile Protection and Feather Falling. Basket holds a fresh iron chestplate as PsychoSFK walks past, and lostinthefort stands by the table.
A tree underground
A sapling planted on a dirt block on a ravine ledge has grown. "Oh, the tree grew." "Yeah, isn't that awesome?" A second one gets planted, with an eye on any apples it might drop. A skeleton up on the ravine rim keeps watching them, which nobody likes. Iron runs short, so the last of it goes to swords and buckets, and an iron sword with an enchantment glint lands in Basket's hotbar.
Zombies for days
The tunnels below hold "zombies for days," plus a creeper and a skeleton just over a ledge. Then a zombie walks right into the base, between the crafting table and the enchanting table. "Holy cow." Talk turns to a spawner somewhere close. Basket heads back down into the narrow tunnels afterward, sword out.
Then chat reads "Virii333 was slain by Zombie," and a row of "gg" lines follows, BasketMC's among them. That leaves thirteen in the match.
"60 MINUTES" appears in the corner while Basket is still digging through stone, and that is the end of Episode 3. Basket is alive and underground with lostinthefort and PsychoSFK. "We're having a blast."
