Season 4 opens on a "GopherCraft UHC Season IV" title and one card for each of the four teams: The Vikings, Throwback Team, Team Belly Buttons and The Blue Bros. Then the match starts in a forest, with "GO GO GO!" from Scoti_Garbidis in chat. Chat names Basket in red, the same color as Sayulily and FriarNurgle, the other two on Basket's team.
Wood first
As soon as the first logs come in, chat fills with achievement lines from every team. Basket's "Getting Wood" is there, right above Sayulily's. Basket notices: "I guess my achievements aren't masked. Ah, oh well."
The team splits the work. One player hands over wood, another crafts a stack of crafting tables for everyone, and the rest keep punching trees. On the call, one of them says this is their first UHC. Apples drop from the leaves now and then, and the team keeps every one. Basket ends up carrying three.
A sound glitch in the rain
A few minutes in, one teammate can't hear any game sounds and leaves to restart the game. Then chat shows "Sayulily joined the game," Scoti_Garbidis asks "Everything Okay Lily?", and Sayulily answers "Yeah, sound glitch :D".
By then it is raining. The team spreads out for food: pork chops, a couple of chickens, brown mushrooms, and a rabbit that turns out to be hard to hit.
A cave in the hill
With the sun going down, they find a cave on the back side of a hill and regroup inside. A furnace and a crafting table go up, food goes in to cook, and coal turns into torches.
Later, Gopherboy asks in chat "SLIB?" Someone on the call explains it is GopherCraft talk for sleeping or logging out in a bed to skip the night. Scoti_Garbidis answers "just a second."
Down for iron
The plan is iron armor first, then the bigger question: go into the Nether or not. They decide to go for it. That means getting low enough to find lava for a portal, so they start staircasing down.
Iron starts to add up. The team counts 21 pieces between them, and a teammate turns some of it into two iron chestplates and a bucket. The bucket is for water from the lake outside, once it is day again.
Basket keeps mining deeper, past more iron ore. Basket's inventory by now holds a full stack of cobblestone and more than fifty pieces of coal.
Twenty minutes
The episode ends on a server message in chat: "[GopherCraft UHC Season 4] *** 20 Minutes ***", followed by the list of current players. All twelve are still in: TChels, TopStiGearGaming, pikerize, Scoti_Garbidis, Virii333, Steel_Douglas, Gopherboy, Th3pooka, PsychoSFK, BasketMC, Sayulily and FriarNurgle.
Basket is alive and at full health at the bottom of the staircase, still in stone tools, with no lava found yet.
