The Hypermine Patrons UHC pairs Hypermine members with their patrons, or with fellow patrons of the same creator, and only one pair can win. Episode 5 starts back in the underground base with Basket and johnfal_92 still in the match. The title card reads "Hypermine Patrons UHC Season 1, Episode 5."
Wowo's double
Chat is already busy. The last end-of-day message, for day 4, lists sixteen players still alive. Right under it come two kills in a row: "jandoncom was slain by WowoTabernak," then "Murasaki_Tatsu was slain by WowoTabernak." Geckor writes "o our leader!" and Murasaki_Tatsu answers "pillowfort hast fallen." A little later WowoTabernak asks, "why did their stuff not drop?"
Basket finishes up at the enchantment table. The tooltips show Diamond Leggings with Projectile Protection I and an Iron Chestplate with Protection II.
Up to the birch forest
The pair packs up and tunnels up in a staircase toward daylight, and the border starts shrinking again ("Soul Crusher is coming!"). They come out in a birch forest. johnfal_92 earns the Cow Tipper achievement among the cows, and steep hills with snow on top rise beyond the trees.
On the call, the players work out why nobody's gear is dropping: keep inventory was left on from when the world was set up. The talk ends on leaving it that way for the rest of the match, since it is the same for everybody.
Back underground
The surface doesn't last. They dig back down into the caves. Chat keeps moving: Zaziggi earns DIAMONDS!, and Kasper_, whose partner is out, asks whether a player could join another team of the same color. Ady67 says yes.
The lava bucket
Basket has a lava bucket out in a stone tunnel. A blue nameplate comes into view, SalsaDoom76, and Basket pours the lava. SalsaDoom76 goes up in flames, and chat reads: "SalsaDoom76 was slain by BasketMC using [Scoti's Lair]." The sword Basket named back in Episode 3 has its first kill. SalsaDoom76 answers "darn you basket," and the gg's roll in.
Seconds later, "The_RedGear burned to death," and The_RedGear writes, "That was the dumbest way I could have died."
Twelve left
Basket fights off a spider and keeps moving through the caves with johnfal_92, then starts digging up toward the surface again. Before they reach it, the day ends: "End of day 5. Players remaining:" twelve names, BasketMC and johnfal_92 among them. Both are alive in the tunnel when the episode ends.
