Inversion UHC Season 1 starts on a spawn platform with fifteen players waiting to be scattered across a 2000 by 2000 map. Health does not come back on its own here, so every nameplate on Basket's team carries a health count under the name. Basket plays for Team Booger, and the two teammates show up on screen within minutes: JohnnyPlaysMC and Mitzify. This first episode is a grace period. Over voice: "no killing anybody the first episode."
Fifteen on the platform
The rules get read out before the scatter: no strip mining, though staircasing down is fine, and "no alliances with other teams." The players stand around a blue pillar while the chat fills with last-minute lines, and imGiftedx climbs on top.
Snow and a frozen river
Basket lands in a snowy forest beside a frozen river and finds JohnnyPlaysMC there, nameplate reading 20 of 20 HP. Mitzify's already reads 16. In chat Mitzify writes, "i love how i already took damage." On voice the cause comes out: "Was it just falling damage?" "Um, yeah, from one block." Nothing heals in this mode, so even a one-block fall counts.
A ladder down
Since strip mining is out, the team digs a staircase into the stone and builds a base at the bottom. "We have a ladder down so they can't see our entrance and exit." Furnaces go in, logs turn into charcoal, and raw beef goes on to cook. Iron is scarce: "Not 8 iron, 6 iron." Someone turns it into iron pickaxes, though the tooltip on Basket's own pickaxe still reads Stone Pickaxe.
The first one out
About thirteen minutes in, the chat reads "xPROxGR33NY was blown up by Creeper." A string of "gg" follows from across the server, BasketMC included, and xPROxGR33NY answers, "you have to be kidding..." When Basket opens the player list a few minutes later, fourteen names remain, and Gopherboy is down to 8 health.
Creepers in the caves
The base opens into caves, and the caves are busy. A creeper peeks out of a gap in the cave wall. "There's a bunch of creepers coming." Talk turns to potions, which need Nether wart from a Nether fortress, and to how risky a first trip through a portal would be. "They can trap the portal."
The mineshaft
The tunnels run into an abandoned mineshaft. "This mine shaft is a problem." Someone only wants three string from it, but the narrow entrance has a zombie in it, and someone walks straight in to fight it. "This is a one-block narrow thing, and you're just like, okay, I'm marching in." Soon after, JohnnyPlaysMC's nameplate reads 14 of 20 HP, with an arrow stuck in the head. "Yeah, you have an arrow in your head." "I'm just gonna cover that part up."
A "30 Minutes Elapsed!" message shows in the chat as the team works by the mineshaft. Basket ends the episode alive with full hearts, with JohnnyPlaysMC and Mitzify close by, and nobody on Team Booger out. The end card follows, with nothing after it.
