Episode 5 of Inversion UHC Season 1 opens on the season card and the five team cards, then drops back into the mineshaft with Team Booger. Spiders are somewhere close, and the talk turns to diamonds right away.
A diamond pickaxe
The count comes out on voice: "three diamonds." Basket puts diamonds to work at the crafting table, and the tooltip soon reads Diamond Pickaxe. Up top, Basket fills a bucket at a lake.
The first kill
Then the chat reads "Team 5: Gopherboy was slain by Team 1: imGiftedx." Until now, every death in the chat had come from mobs or fire. This one came from another player, and Gopherboy was the last one left on Team Yellow Creeper. The gg's come in from Mitzify, PontiffLachlan, the third Pink Poncho player, EdgeVenom, BasketMC, EPiC_HERO_NBK and Scoti_Garbidis, and JohnnyPlaysMC types "GG." Gopherboy leaves the game.
Lost in the snow
Basket heads out across the snow. The hills all look alike, and soon the admission comes: "I'm totally lost, I've been circling the same thing for a little bit."
Blown up
A little before nine minutes in, the chat posts "Team 1: JohnnyPlaysMC was blown up by Creeper." Mitzify and BasketMC type gg, and so does JohnnyPlaysMC, before leaving the game. Team Booger is down to two.
Basket finds the spot: "Oh, I see a big hole." The crater is ringed with dropped gear and experience orbs. Basket scoops up what is there and stores it in a chest by the lake before dark. "I didn't get a chance to go through it all before it turned night, so I just grabbed a couple things and ran."
A Golden Head
Among the drops is an item called JohnnyPlaysMC's Head. Back in the underground base, Basket rings it with eight gold ingots at the crafting table. The result is a Golden Head, and its tooltip reads "Some say consuming the head of a fallen foe strengthens the blood. Made from the head of: JohnnyPlaysMC." In the chat, imGiftedx reports, "i lied head heals 2 hearts."
Mitzify's nameplate reads 11 / 20 HP. The Golden Head is meant for healing: "Do you wanna heal up, Mitzi?" A voice on the call pleads, "Don't eat my head." The reply: "Your head is very yummy." Later, Mitzify's nameplate reads 15 / 20.
Waiting out the night
Basket tills a patch of dirt by a pool of water with a stone hoe, plants melon seeds, and covers the sprout in bone meal. The player list shows eight names left: BasketMC at 15, Mitzify at 15, Scoti_Garbidis and imGiftedx at 17, the third Pink Poncho player at 14 and EdgeVenom at 6, with no number showing for EPiC_HERO_NBK or PontiffLachlan. "It is night time, so we will have to wait."
Iron is no longer a worry. "Do we need any more iron?" "No, I have 41 on me." There is one more stumble: "I just fell in a hole, so I took some hearts there." The chat reads "100 Minutes Elapsed!" and Basket is alive and underground when the end card comes up, with nothing after it.
