Episode 4 of Inversion UHC Season 1 opens with the season card and the five team cards, then drops back into the caves. The chat reads "60 Minutes Elapsed!" and JohnnyPlaysMC's nameplate shows 13 / 20 HP. Nothing heals on its own this season, so that number is the one to watch.
A bucket of lava
The tunnels run past falls of water and lava. "I'm touching the lava with my shoulder," someone says, and the reply comes fast: "Yeah, don't do that." Basket crafts a bucket, and a little later the tooltip reads Lava Bucket. Skeletons keep firing out of the dark. "Oh crap, why am I getting shot?" One of them goes down. "Skeleton is dead."
One diamond
Then the shout: "There's diamonds! There's diamonds in that chest." The haul is smaller than that sounds. "I have one diamond, seven gold." Melon seeds turn up too, "easy food," and "for potion stuff later," which matters in a season where a glistering melon costs a whole gold block. Basket's inventory now holds Melon Seeds. In the chat, JohnnyPlaysMC types "DIAMONDS IN THE SKY." The arrows have added up, though. When the team gathers at a furnace and crafting table, JohnnyPlaysMC is down to 8 / 20 HP.
Too dark up top
Back at the base, with its furnaces, a bed and a big double chest, the talk turns to healing. "We also need more apples so we could go chop down some trees." Basket climbs the shaft to the surface, where snow covers everything. The trip is short. "It's getting dark, not worth it." Everyone heads back down into the cave.
A death in the chat
Not long after, the chat posts "Team 2: pink516 burned to death." The gg's follow from Mitzify, BasketMC, imGiftedx, EPiC_HERO_NBK, Gopherboy, Scoti_Garbidis and JohnnyPlaysMC. Then pink516 asks, "Who placed that lava at spawn?" and leaves the game.
Underground, the worry is JohnnyPlaysMC. "You have to put the diamond in the chest because you're the one here with the lowest amount of health." Another voice: "I'm scared I'm gonna be the next one to die." The answer: "No, cuz we're gonna get you an apple." Basket uses bone meal on a sapling in the dug-out room. "There's all my bonemeal."
Ten names on the list
Basket opens the player list. BasketMC is at 15 and Mitzify at 11. Scoti_Garbidis still has a full 20, with the third Pink Poncho player at 19, imGiftedx at 14 and EdgeVenom at 9. Gopherboy is down to 1. JohnnyPlaysMC, PontiffLachlan and EPiC_HERO_NBK show no number, and pink516 is no longer on the list. Ten names in all.
Back into the mineshaft
Basket heads back along the mineshaft rails with an iron sword in hand. "I got eight more iron." Then: "Let's see if we find more diamonds." The chat reads "80 Minutes Elapsed!" and JohnnyPlaysMC's nameplate, now red, shows 6 / 20. Basket is alive and still underground when the end card comes up, with nothing after it.
