Episode 6 opens back at the skeleton grinder GopherCraft built last time. "I'm a dirty cheater, and I'm getting stuff from a skeleton grinder." Basket, Scoti_Garbidis and PsychoSFK are still underground, and the arrows are piling up. "I've got 31 arrows, man." Chat shows DarthTimmanis leaving the game early on.
Diamonds by the lava
Basket mines along a pool of lava and turns up a vein of diamonds. "I got diamonds." Water goes over the lava to make it safe, and a skeleton with an enchanted bow tries to pick one of them off and fails. Back at the furnaces, everyone smelts. There is talk of gold for more golden apples once they reach the surface, and one of the team counts 24 gold.
Chat keeps bringing news from the rest of the map. "CaptainPhresh burned to death" comes up, and a row of "gg" follows, Scoti_Garbidis among them.
Levels into gear
With an anvil and an enchanting table set up by the furnaces, the team starts spending levels. Basket repairs a Power I bow at the anvil for two levels, and the level counter on the HUD drops from 18 to 2 over the next few minutes. Unbreaking, Protection and a Sharpness sword come out of the table. "I got sharpness again, apparently I'm really lucky." Someone else lands Blast Protection, which gets a groan. The arrows get split up, "20 each," in the top chest.
Then chat reports "phaylontis suffocated in a wall," and BasketMC types "gg" with everyone else.
Names in the dark
In the middle of all this, someone spots a name off in the distance. "There is a name briefly." Whoever it is keeps unshifting now and then, and the name drifts closer. "They're coming this way, they're following the torches." Nobody can tell who it is, or how many there are.
GopherCraft decides not to fight in a small room. The enchanting table and the anvil get packed up, the chests get checked, and the skeleton spawner gets broken on the way out. Then Basket starts stair-stepping toward the surface. By the time they lose track of the name, Basket's levels are down to 1.
A kill in chat
On the climb up, chat posts a player kill: "ForU2nV was slain by kanivatimber." Another wave of "gg" follows. Food is running low for one of them, and a trip back down to a chest turns up a single raw steak. PsychoSFK goes ahead to the surface alone. "Can't believe you went out all by yourself, Psycho."
Up into the trees
They come out in daylight on a forested hillside above a river, the teammates' armor glowing with enchantments. There is a quick plan to wait at the cave mouth and catch whoever was following, but nobody sees a name. "I don't want to assume they're someplace. I want to know they're someplace."
The sun starts going down, so they move away from the cave and look for somewhere to spend the night. They find an opening that someone else has already dug into. "This isn't us." AngryK9 posts "120 MINUTE MARK" in chat. The episode ends with all three still in the match, standing at a stranger's cave at sunset.
