The iron farm has been busy. Basket opens with a chest full of ingots, tips them on the floor and crafts them into iron blocks to carry back to town. There's bad news too: a server issue wiped everything Basket was carrying and everything in the ender chest. The gear and the map in hand now are "the closest I can remember" to what was there before. The next big project is Basket Island.
Presents in town
First stop is the Christmas tree in what Basket calls the DMZ, where chests sit under name signs. Basket's has a sword, a helmet, a mending book, a name tag, cookies and a Christmas ham. In the town hall there's a pile of community gear, and Basket picks up a better bow from it.
Then come some villager trades. The toolsmith and weaponsmith take iron, though they keep locking up, and one of them sells an Efficiency axe.
Basket's Boots
The goal is Feather Falling boots. Basket walks the whole village checking librarians and keeps finding cartographers instead ("I hate you, but you're useless to me"). No Feather Falling book anywhere. So it's the enchanting table, with junk tools crafted to reroll the offers. A combine at the anvil first eats the levels Basket was saving ("I forgot about combining stuff taking up levels"), but Feather Falling IV comes up anyway. Add the Depth Strider book and the mending book from the presents, and the result gets a name: Basket's Boots.
The way out
Basket crafts a new bed and swaps iron blocks for a stack of the town's spare cobble. Looking for a shortcut portal in a storage cellar, Basket runs into JJBonsig there. The portal leads through the nether past the Iron Island sign to what Basket calls "the sort of temporary tunnel that goes to Basket Island." It's night on arrival, of course.
Scoping the castle
The castle goes on the high ground, where the hill already drops off steeply on most sides. Basket walks the edges working out where the keep, the towers and a hidden way down to a cove could go. On the map the plan gets bigger: farmland on the next island over, city walls with gates at the land bridges, roads, maybe lighthouses on the mountains. "Probably bigger than I really should take on."
Laying out the entrance
The main entrance is meant to be defended but still easy to walk into. Stairs climb to a small gatehouse, about 7 by 7. A bridge crosses from there to the main gate, with towers on each side to shoot at "the non-existent people trying to break in." Basket wants drawbridges but knows a working one isn't possible in vanilla. For now it's all cobblestone, three blocks wide, to "change them out to be better stuff later."
It rains almost every time night falls ("why is it always raining?"), so Basket keeps sleeping it off. A five-wide road is planned straight out from the keep and down through the hill to the cove. Before any of that, Basket needs a mining outpost underneath for cobble. The stream ends with a sleep. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
