The castle entrance is laid out, and the next step for Basket Island is everything around it. Planning a city takes building blocks, though, so the session starts underground with a branch mine. "I guess this is pretty boring watching me branch mine."
A spawner under the island
It doesn't stay boring for long. The branch mine runs straight into a cave, and the cave runs into an old mineshaft full of cobwebs, with a spider spawner sitting in the middle of it. Skeletons and spiders keep coming while the torches go down. The torches run out partway through, so Basket mines some coal with the fortune pickaxe and crafts more.
The shield does a lot of the work. Skeletons are a pain without one, Basket says, but with it "they can't really hurt you easily." Basket had hoped for several spider spawners here, enough for a big XP farm, but this stretch of caves only has the one. Basket lights it up, blocks off the opening for later, and heads for the surface.
The plan from the top
From the hill where the keep will stand, Basket walks through the castle entrance again: big stairs up to a tower, a wooden drawbridge into a second tower, then another drawbridge into the castle itself. The map comes out to show the rest. There's the island with the keep, a small farming island off to one side, and room for a walled city in between.
Then it's torches. Basket lays a line of them wherever a road should go. The main roads will be five wide, the side roads thinner, and one main road will loop all the way around the keep.
Bridges, walls and Dragon Maw Rock
The island doesn't make it easy. It's broken up by cliffs, coves and low spots, so the plan grows as Basket walks it. Some low land will be dug out so the water runs all the way through, with bridges over it. A tower in the middle will guard the channel against big ships. There may be lighthouses on the peaks, a waterfall coming down off the hills, and little fishing shacks in the coves outside the walls.
A viewer points out a rock that looks like a dragon's head and names it "Dragon Maw Rock." A floating ball of blocks over the island fares worse: "the flying sphere doesn't really work for me," so it may come down. When a viewer asks how long until this becomes Basketopia, Basket takes to the idea: "I guess this could be Basketopia. That's a cool name."
The work party arrives
Partway through, the chat log shows "johnfal_92 joined the game," followed by "<johnfal_92> basket whats up? Hope I don't bother your stream." Basket answers "nah, not at all." Later johnfal_92 adds "Just the work party here to help :)", but Basket doesn't have any jobs to hand out yet. A while after that, johnfal_92 reports "wither skull 1 :D", and Basket calls johnfal_92 "a pro" at getting them.
Basket also notes that all of this needs a lot of resources, and Basket wants a beacon to speed up the digging.
A dead end and some llamas
The last roads go along the far coast. Basket weighs a road on the water's edge, for the view, against a road set back so houses get the view instead, and picks the coast. One open spot might become a made-up quarry, just for looks. The far end turns into a dead end, and Basket isn't sure yet what goes there.
The stream ends among llamas on the island. "Llamas. What is this game coming to?" Nothing permanent is built yet, but the whole island is marked out in torches. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
