Last episode ended with the Iron Island mob farm working and the item elevator still missing. Basket had already picked light blue glass for it, because it should look like a warp core reactor. This stream is about making that happen. Basket plays alone.
Repairs at the enderman farm
First stop is an enderman farm, reached by a long rail tunnel and an Ender Pearl Storage room. "So John made this. It's pretty sweet." Endermen pile up in a row, and Basket swings into them with a Looting sword, pulls off the armor, and lets the XP fix the Mending gear. The sweeping attack takes out several at once. It beats the old way, at the skeleton farm. Basket would like railings along the water channel, though.
Trying out looks
Back at Iron Island, the elevator will come up where the ladder sits now. Rather than build it there, Basket makes a test piece off to the side: light blue stained glass in the middle, then rings of other blocks around it. Pictures of a real warp core are open in another tab. Mixed-in white doesn't work. "It looks very square. It looks very Minecraft." A viewer likes the version where white bands stick out, so Basket keeps that.
The shaft is dark, so the design needs light. Sea lanterns go in the white bands. Basket runs through the nether to the ocean monument base for some, taking them from the storage chests there.
Trapdoors, panes and a blue band
Iron trapdoors cap the white rings. Iron isn't a worry at an iron farm. A viewer asks for glass panes in the corners, and Basket likes how they round off the edges. Another viewer suggests a row of dark blue in the middle, and Basket makes the whole layer dark blue so there's no hard edge. That's the design.
Then comes the crafting: stacks of light blue glass from bone meal and lapis, then regular blue, then white, with a shulker box as extra inventory. Wood runs low again.
Building it for real
The current kill chamber will be replaced by the bottom of the elevator, so Basket starts the real one a little higher. Each repeat is a 3x3 of glass with the white band, sea lanterns, panes and trapdoors around it. The hard part is reaching the bottom of each band. Basket's fix is to put the trapdoor on the top edge first, then fill in the rest. "There we go, that'll work."
The plan is to walk around it, maybe on a rail, and watch the items fly up. Basket gets one more ring done before the stream ends. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
