Basket logs back in under a thunderstorm and heads below Iron Island. While Basket was away, the area around the farms got cleared all the way down. "This is saving me a lot of time." Today's job is the third of four mob farm cells, the ones Basket calls passive mob farms.
A cell that was barely started
The third cell is not close to done. The top was never finished, the trapdoors aren't in, and it ran into the gravel of the ocean floor. Basket puts in the trapdoors, then punches a hole through the middle to find where the bottom goes.
Back up top for smooth stone slabs, sea lanterns and hoppers, with a few more hoppers crafted on the spot.
The bottom and the water
The collection floor is a four by four of hoppers, with furnaces, slabs and sea lanterns on top. Basket uses a Silk Touch pick to get sea lanterns back, since there are only so many. One side stays open for now so the furnaces can still be reached.
Then the water. One corner becomes an infinite spring, so the buckets refill close by. The water spreads across the cell, and the blocks run out. "Yeah, I'm not gonna have enough, that's for sure."
A trip for prismarine
So it's off to the Ocean Monument for more prismarine. Back at base, Basket finds a chest of coal and lapis blocks in the main area and doesn't remember putting it there. A viewer says it's theirs. Then a batch of furnaces, and back down.
The roof goes on, the cell goes dark, and the trapdoors come down. "I was surprised to learn that mobs can spawn on hoppers," Basket says. With everything dug out to bedrock, there are hardly any other spots for them.
The last touch is the rings that guide mobs to the drop. "Now we have our rings." The third cell works.
Paths over the bedrock
Clearing a layer above the farm, Basket breaks into seawater and patches the ocean floor with cobblestone. The bigger plan is blue glass over the ocean floor, so you could see all the way down from the water. That needs a lot of lapis.
The bedrock floor is hard to walk on, so Basket lays paths: smooth stone down the middle, sea lanterns along the sides. One turn gets torn out and redone. "That's what's cool about Minecraft, is a lot of things you can undo."
johnfal_92 drops in
Near the end, johnfal_92 joins the game and says "hello there!" in the game chat. Basket gives a quick tour. Iron golems spawn in the corner farms, walk down, die, and hoppers send their drops up the item elevator. Three of the four mob farm cells now run, and Basket says all four iron golem farms are operational.
Next up: more prismarine for the fourth cell, then small boxes in the cleared areas to find where slimes spawn. The item sorters upstairs "are also not working quite right," but that can wait.
The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
