The warp core item elevator runs top to bottom now, but only one of the two mob farms feeds it. This stream is about getting the second one dug out and hooked up. Basket works alone for most of it, and JJBonsig joins the game near the end.
Fixing the sorter
First, an update from between streams. The water stream into the sorter had a stopper so it would filter out iron, but bones and arrows stopped there too, even with the water still flowing. "I didn't think was gonna happen, but it happened." Basket swapped in a line of hoppers instead, with furnaces on top to cut down on lag.
The sorter now gives four chests to iron, then gunpowder, bones and arrows, and everything else goes into miscellaneous. Bone blocks act as the sorting blocks instead of renamed items, so nobody should send bone blocks up the elevator. A bat spawned in there at some point, and Basket has no good way to get rid of it.
Down to bedrock
The second mob farm is already built on the inside. It just needs a way down. Basket digs seven blocks at a time and drops the spare blocks in chests on the way. A viewer asks about helping dig, and Basket lays out the plan: clear everything between the walls down to bedrock, but don't dig too high, because the ocean is up there. Later, the walls of the iron golem farms in the corners will turn to glass where they can, so you can stand at the bottom and see every farm above. The door system has to stay solid blocks.
It's dark down there, and mobs keep spawning, so torches go up as the floor drops. Slimes are around too, from a slime chunk Basket still hasn't found. Basket also mentions that cave spiders don't poison anyone on this server. A look at the settings showed it was on easy, even though they had set it to normal.
The hopper pad
Basket clears the floor all the way to bedrock first, so the hoppers won't get in the way later. Then comes a 4x4 of hoppers, with a trip up top for more iron and hoppers. A floor of slabs and two rings around the edge keep mobs from spawning on it or getting out. To switch the farm on, Basket pulls the torches out and closes the doors. "Open or close depending on your perspective."
The hopper line to the elevator gets furnaces on top. Basket tries slabs on top instead, with sea lanterns along the sides, and likes it. "It looks just like a, you know, kind of unsafe walkway." That look might show up in other places later. Ghost blocks get in the way for a bit, but soon "now we have two mob farms plugged into all this."
JJBonsig drops in
JJBonsig joins the game. Where the line passes under glass, Basket still has furnaces, and JJBonsig thinks that's fine: "<JJBonsig> I think it looks ok to have the furnaces be different under the glass". Basket tries double slabs there anyway and likes them better. The water gets stopped first, so it won't turn the lava into obsidian.
Then comes a tour. You can throw blocks down onto the hoppers from anywhere above, and they ride the elevator up to the chests. The main danger is a slime knocking you off an edge. "<JJBonsig> heights are ok :)" Just don't send bone blocks. "<JJBonsig> that's handy!"
The plan from here is four mob farms, four iron golem farms, slime farms once the slime chunks turn up, sugar cane farms and some trading. JJBonsig is going to help with the digging. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
