Same title as last time, and the same job: the sorter under the Iron Island chest ring, which got wired a long way around last episode. Basket did a little work before the recording started, so this one opens with redstone already going in. By the end the hopper pattern runs all the way around. Nothing sorts yet.
Hoppers, furnaces, torches
Each section follows the same recipe. Basket pulls out the top hoppers and rebuilds the chain "down, over, down, over," staying above the bottom hoppers wherever it can. Furnaces stop a signal bleeding over to the sides, and more furnaces sit on the hoppers "just to stop lag." A torch marks each spot where a repeater will go, then come comparators and dust. Basket counts nine redstone dust per sorted column and says the ring has taken less redstone than expected.
Head in the corner
Behind the chests runs a ledge, and Basket wants it the same all the way around. The rule ends up simple: fill it in so nobody can walk down there. To test a spot, Basket walks into the corner. "If I put my head in the corner, do I fall down?" If yes, it needs another block. If there's an extra block nobody can stand on, it comes out.
Light is the other worry back here. "John" had said the light levels were fine, but Basket finds a spot where mobs can spawn and doesn't want that near the mob farms. Torches go in for now.
The tour and the miscellaneous end
When a viewer asks what this is, Basket gives a quick tour: a storage ring under the ocean, the item elevator in the middle of the island, four iron golem farms in the far corners and four passive mob farms. Everything rides the elevator up and, for now, lands in a few chests. Later it will feed the ring. The ring stays underwater, with a ramp planned from the base so you walk in through air.
Back down below, Basket runs short of hoppers, crafts more at the base, and loses a pile of chests thrown on the ground somewhere. The end of the line becomes the miscellaneous section: anything the rest of the ring doesn't catch lands there.
Sea lanterns at the corners
Torches all the way around don't look great. The corners of the redstone line carry no redstone, so Basket tries sea lanterns there on one stretch, then checks it from outside the glass. "That looks pretty good." So it goes on the whole ring: every corner broken out in one lap, the lanterns placed on the next. Some dark spots open up while the corners are empty, the exact spawn problem Basket was trying to avoid.
One section built wrong
One stretch won't line up. Basket counts it out, "four three three," and decides the glass sits one block off, so the indent has to move over. That needs white glass and furnaces. Back at the base, the chest is collecting rotten flesh from the mob farm. "More rotten flesh, yes!"
The fix means adding a new glass seam first, then pulling the extra glass from inside, hoping the redstone survives. Then the sea lanterns go in, the torches come out, and Basket checks the light on the straight paths. They're fine without extra lights.
"For now the ring is done, sort of." It isn't hooked up or sorting, but the hopper pattern is in all the way around. The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
