No building this time. This one is a short raid: a whole group on the server heads out together to clear a woodland mansion. Nameplates and chat show Bakerbelle, sharpedge_, jcole786, pikerize, JJBonsig, Scoti_Garbidis and LittleSpookie along for it, with Basket in diamond armor and a shield like most of the party.
Rally point
The party gathers by the chests and portals. Before anyone leaves, pikerize says in chat, "I forgot my shield... I am fail." Someone hands one over and the group is ready. The plan, as one voice lays it out: "I am the party leader to the location and then after that you're on your own." Somebody yells "Leroy Jenkins!" far too early. Then it's through the portal and out into a jungle. "Welcome to the jungle!"
Due south
The directions are simple: head due south from the portal. The party strings out through the trees and across the water, calling out warnings ("There's a creeper behind you") and losing track of each other. "Now I don't know where we went." "We only have to beat half of a mansion tonight."
Then it shows up over the treetops. "This is a real money pit." The mansion was found from the back, by someone out looking for parrots in this jungle.
In through the back
The group goes around to the unfinished side, where the rooms are open to the air. "It's kind of like a dollhouse." Inside it's door to door. One room has a mushroom farm. The chests are a letdown at first: "I found loots. Empty." Others turn up redstone and gunpowder. Someone admits it's their first time ever upstairs in one of these.
Keep one alive
The axe guys are the real prize. The idea is to keep a vindicator or two alive for a farm, since they "will attack cows and stuff." The tip that comes with it: carry blocks, pillar up if one runs at you, and wall it in. The axes hit hard. Someone calls out that "Pike" is "getting murdered," and it sounds like "a guy with an axe." The wizards, as the party calls them, drop totems of undying, and one gets offered to whoever wants it.
Basket's cobblestone goes into the walls, the stack in the hotbar dropping from 28 to 11. "They're blocked in so we're good there." One more on the other side is fair game, and two stay walled up for later. A spot covered in torches marks where one of them is.
That's the mansion
By the end there weren't as many monsters as anyone expected, partly because the whole party showed up well armed. The two vindicators would have to be moved somewhere else to become a farm, and someone jokes that building it should go to another player as a challenge. "Is there more to this mansion?" "No, I think this is it." The video ends on the credits, with no gameplay after them.
