Episode 126 opens on the Minecraft title screen (version 1.12.2) and logs in at night, somewhere with no torches nearby. The job is the same as last time: keep the stone brick city wall going around Basketopia. Basket had built a little more off camera, including a bit of wall at the gatehouse "just to remind me that it is there." Basket is on the server alone.
One less than that
The wall goes up ten high, and every new section is set against the one before it: "one less than that," "same," "one higher." Every so often Basket counts all the way to ten again to make sure the steps haven't drifted. So far they haven't. One llama ends up on the wrong side. "This poor llama is now gonna be separated from the other llamas."
At a tower spot Basket just circles the base instead of building the whole tower, then sets it to day. It's going fast, but this is only one side of the wall. The inside still has to be built and every spot smoothed out.
Further on, the wall runs straight into a hill. Rather than zigzag down, it stays about level and cuts into the slope, with no back side, just the wall set against the hill.
Back for more stone
Then the blocks run out. Basket heads back over the mountain toward the portal and the iron farm for more smooth stone. Looking over one mountainous stretch, Basket thinks out loud about what goes there: some city and a road through there, maybe a mine shaft, maybe a few mountain villages. Coming out of the portal goes wrong twice. "Am I on the right side? No."
Swapping out the cobble
Back at the wall, Basket puts a couple of layers down where the towers will go, so they show up from a distance, then starts replacing a stretch of cobblestone. That cobble went down earlier when the stone bricks ran out, and now every block of it has to come back out. "Now I kind of regret my choice."
Basket explains the method too. The first pass was like line art, a line around the whole island. Now it's being filled in. Later Basket wants to take a boat all the way around and decide where the wall is too high, too low or too steep, and the towers will probably get built before the wall is finished.
A way in by boat
At one opening the wall fills straight across, but Basket wants water to carry through underneath, as another small way into the big harbor. Basket hops down into the water to show it. A big tower goes here, the wall tunnels through the rock, and a small arch lets a small boat through. Where the wall meets higher ground it may climb to join up, but not ten blocks above that.
A bit later the steps change to threes, which Basket says will be easier to work with for some future designs.
A diagonal gatehouse
Near the end Basket tries something new: a gatehouse set on the diagonal. Basket counts it out to five on one side, checks the other side matches, steps back three and cuts across. A pool of water sits in one corner. "It has its own swimming pool." A door goes there and a gate here, and the whole thing might end up smaller once it's actually built. That's it for the day, and the end card runs to the last frame with no gameplay after it.
