Factorio Season 1 starts here. The commentary admits up front: "I haven't really played it myself, so let's give it a try." From the game's list of campaigns Basket picks First steps, which the menu describes as landing "on the surface of an unknown planet" with first tools to craft. The video covers two of its levels and ends on the second one's victory window.
A crash and a coal drill
The first level opens on grass beside a lake, next to a wrecked ship. The game's own text sets the scene: "That escape module saved my life. I am afraid the others were not so lucky..." An objective box at the top left gives one step at a time: move with W, A, S and D, then craft the iron axe. "That's so much faster," the commentary says once the axe is in hand.
Next come four iron ore by hand, a stone furnace to smelt them, and a burner mining drill. The commentary sees the joke when the drill goes down on coal: "That's ironic, it needs coal to burn." A wooden chest goes under the drill's drop spot, three pieces of coal land in it, and the game declares "Game finished." Basket clicks Next level.
Biters in the desert
The second level is dry and cracked, with drills, belts and a furnace already standing. The game explains the burner inserter, which "picks up items in front of it and places them behind." A chest holds a pistol and magazines, and then the objective changes: "Kill the biters before they get you. Fire by holding SPACE." After the first kill, the commentary says "that's pretty terrifying." One inserter is facing the wrong way, and the commentary learns that R turns it.
Ten drills and five furnaces
The next goal is a count: ten burner mining drills and five stone furnaces. Basket starts at four drills and one furnace, and spends about ten minutes crafting and placing them, turning each with R so its output points the right way. A drill stops "because the output was full." Fuel is the real chore, since every furnace and drill wants coal. "Maybe for now we'll do that manually."
When both counts are met, the game's text says: "If I connect it all correctly, I should be able to get the resources needed for electric power soon."
Plates and a coal loop
The last objective asks for 150 iron plates, 50 copper plates and 75 coal. The iron count drops each time plates go into new machines, falling from 225 to 141 before it climbs back past 300. Three drills go on a copper patch with three furnaces below them. A chest of coal feeds an inserter that drops coal onto a belt, and Basket bends the belt into a small oval, "so that they're just gonna go in a little loop here." Inserters stand between the loop and the furnaces. "This seems like a pretty good system. I guess. I mean, not really."
Where it ends
The copper count jumps from 34 to 61 and the objective box clears. The game's text reads "Whew, that was some hard work, but I think I have everything I need now. It's time to move on," and a "Game finished" window says Victory, with 20 minutes 53 seconds played and four small biters killed. Red fuel warnings sit on several machines behind it. The video ends there, before the next level.
