Episode 25 is a short live stream. The base now runs on trains for copper, iron and coal, and this video is about keeping them moving. Trains get stuck at the refueling stop, so Basket pulls up track to make some stretches one way, puts a second locomotive on the iron train and lays a new loop with signals. After that comes a cleanup of old mines and electric furnaces while Robotics researches. By the end the trains are running, Robotics is done, and the iron drop-off still has no way around it.
Coal first
The stream opens on a power fix. The steam engines run on coal, "and we ran out of coal here." A train now carries coal, but for now it is "the manual way": a belt goes down to bring coal to the boilers.
Stuck at the refueling stop
On the tour of the tracks, the copper train is unloading and a signal shows the way ahead is taken. Basket sends the iron train off by hand to see where it goes, and it stops in the wrong place. "They run into problems if they're at the refueling station, they get stuck."
The fix is to make the routes one way. "I don't want anybody coming down this route ever," and pieces of track come out. To get the stuck iron train moving, a second locomotive goes on its back end, facing the other way, with some fuel. At first the commentary reads "no path." Once more track is changed, it heads for the iron drop-off.
A new loop with signals
To ease the bottleneck, Basket lays a curved rail between two lines so trains can loop back. Signals go in next: "don't let trains go through this little intersection here unless it's not occupied." The iron train empties into the smelting area: "Half of it's going into this top production up here."
More defenses go up near the tracks, and a splitter is added "so we can get some coal down to those power plants as well." "It looks like up here we're good on power now."
Cleanup and Robotics
At the research screen, Basket picks Robotics, which the commentary reads as giving a flying robot frame. "I don't know what the flying stuff is for, but that sounds neat." While it runs, dried-up mines come out, and then a column of electric furnaces. "We can help out a lot of electrical problems if we get rid of them." Laser turrets go into gaps where attacks had broken the base up.
Where it ends
The coal train pulls in and drops fuel into chests, and the iron train refills. One problem is left: "Right now the only way to leave this area here is to go through the iron drop-off," so a bypass is next. The research screen reads "Robotics (researched)," and nothing new is started. The video ends on the rails at dusk.
