The video opens on a card that reads "Aftermath VOD 2016-07-13, Why So Serious?" It's the sixth part of the same evening stream on the snowy map, and it picks up where the last part stopped: Basket out in the snow with the diamond sword and pickaxe from the hospital, heading back to the brick building. The call has news about who's waiting there. "They're waiting for you with diamond armor, remember?"
Guests in the base
Wolfstorm is at the door. Basket rides the water shaft up the outside wall and drops into the bedroom, and the chat confirms "[Bed] Your spawn was set to this bed." The room is full. narcolepticfox and greightsects stand by the bed in full diamond armor, and 17Peppers is there too.
The chat is friendly enough. "greightsects: nice house." "17Peppers: I heard there is a party?" Basket types "you have a furnace?" Then "narcolepticfox: wheres my best pal scoti?" and "Wolfstorm: He's on his way." Someone on the call sums it up: "It's safe to say that I've let them into the base."
Wood from a buried tree
Basket heads back out, and The_RedGear is standing in the snow outside.
Tree trunks stick up out of the snow here, buried nearly to the top. Basket drops into a gap beside one and punches it for logs, puts down a crafting table, makes a wooden axe and keeps chopping.
The rest of the server isn't having an easy time. "A Zombie ate 17Peppers's brain!" "Nemsun fell to the hunger of the horde." "A Zombie ate Runwyld's brain!" "Wolfstorm slipped from a ledge." The call has a theory about one of the deaths: "That baby zombie has a diamond sword."
Why so serious
Back at the base, the title line turns up in chat. "narcolepticfox: why so serious wolf?" "Wolfstorm: Not serious, just cautious." And from The_RedGear: "wanna know how I got these scars?"
The guests have been busy. "They just put iron doors on our base," someone on the call reports, "and then they put a button to get out." Not everyone likes it: "this sounds very trappy to me." Wolfstorm asks straight out in chat, "So your waiting for Scoti im guessing?" narcolepticfox says "naw," and later, "just hanging out." In between, "17Peppers has learned to fly, but not how to land."
Gone fishing
Food is still the problem, and someone on the call has an idea: fish might be "the only food source in the game that's replenished." Wolfstorm and The_RedGear are up where the water shaft comes down, and Basket casts a line into a small pool edged with planks and torches. Then, from the call: "I got a fish!"
A truce
Near the end, Scoti_Garbidis shows up in chat with a ":D". "Wolfstorm: It was SCOTI." "narcolepticfox: STOP IT SCOTI WERE ALL HAVING FUN HERE." Then narcolepticfox asks "truce?" and Scoti_Garbidis answers "yeah, truce." Wolfstorm adds that everyone is "all friends here."
The call isn't relaxed for long. "Oh, charged creeper," someone says, then "right by me." And the night has barely started: "the moon is just now coming up." The video stops there, and the credits run to the end with no gameplay after them. The stream picks up in the next part.
