This stream archive runs about 65 minutes and opens on a card reading "Stream Archive" and "Railroad Construction", with no episode number, so the number here comes from the playlist. There's no redstone this time. It's a day of plain track work: gravel, cobblestone and a lot of fences, first on a new line through the north side of town and then out by the Iron Farm. Kondrik and Cassildz are both on the server and chatting, and soapthgr8 logs in partway through.
A line for the north side
Basket starts at a rail station where the track splits. Someday a T intersection will sit there and send riders one way or the other, with one branch looping around to a north station. To get to the north part of town "without having to interfere with other people's builds," the line runs through a tunnel and a junction room, which for now only turns. A shaft up to the surface lets in some light.
Out in the open the bed is cobblestone with gravel on top, and the walls come up high with fences on them "just to try and stop mobs and stuff from getting in. Even sheep would really ruin things. Creepers would be the worst." The route slips under a hill and past other players' builds to a spot marked out in diorite, where the north station will go.
Running out of gravel
Gravel goes fast. Basket tries to break it with a silk touch pick so none of it turns to flint, and still runs dry, then heads off to raid a neighbor's stash ("Scotty's gravel storage") to keep going. A few trees get in the way too: "this tree has to go, that is in the way of progress." Smooth stone goes into the walls where the line cuts through a cave. People living along the line might want to cross it someday, so Basket weighs a level crossing like last time against an underpass. By around 25 minutes all the fences are in and the gravel is gone again. Kondrik turns up in a storage room by the tracks while Basket restocks.
A ride through the crossing
Basket takes the cart south to the other job. On the way it rolls through the railroad crossing from the last two episodes, lamps on their posts. "When you're riding, you can't really hear the note blocks over the railroad tracks, but they're played." The line still ends at the big dug-out area for Basket Station, and Basket says work on its floor might start next week.
The Iron Farm railroad
From the end of the line Basket walks the planned route toward the Iron Farm. Netherrack markers along the way show the course. There are two bridges to come, and a spot for the Iron Farm rail station. Past that, a branch might dip into a cave and run under the ocean, and another would cross the water on "a big suspension bridge." For now it's cobblestone sides with a base down the middle for the gravel. Basket asks whether the station spot is all right and reads the reply out: "excellent location." The pattern for the track is "5 regular rail and then 3 powered rail and then repeat."
Out of cobble, Basket raids the supply chests at the Iron Farm. soapthgr8 logs in while Basket is there, and a player in diamond armor hops around the chests.
A room for the turn
The last stretch goes underground, where the line turns. Basket digs out a small room, about five by five, so riders don't clip through the wall on the corner, and puts in spruce log beams and torches. A quick check with F3 shows the light holds up between torches. Basket thinks a future utility line carrying iron into town could connect here someday. Then it's time to stop: "we have a good portion of the rail going."
