This stream runs about 52 minutes. It opens on a card reading "Hypermine Vanilla VOD" and "Basket Station Mall" with no episode number, so the number here comes from the playlist. Last time half of Basket Station got a quartz floor and the other half got a stone brick foundation. Basket is still short on quartz, so this stream is about the layout and the outside of the building. Basket is the only player on screen.
Shop footprints
Basket starts with a recap from the station floor: the quartz side is done, there will be shops on both sides, stairs up and stairs down. There's a new idea too. Right now the only way down to freight is on the far side, so anyone stocking a store would have a long walk. A service hallway with its own stairs to the freight floor could fix that.
Then comes the counting. Shops stay seven across, and the space between two rows comes out to fifteen, which fits perfectly. "In fact I should have known that because it worked out perfectly over there." A big store could take up two plots. The stores on this side are deep, so the walkway might loop around the back so people can reach them from both sides. Basket keeps the widths odd so a shop owner can center a single door, though many stores might just have an open front.
Stairs that mobs can't climb
Next Basket builds stairs up from the lower path, where the mall floor ends. There's a hole in the middle of the run, covered with carpet so people can walk over it. "I'm going to use the carpet trick to make it so that they don't traverse this spot," Basket says about zombies. For now a block goes in so nobody falls in. Then the same stairs go on the other side, lined up with the first set.
Spruce pillars and a beam that won't fit
The level below the main floor gets the same look as the older part of the station: stone bricks, windows, and spruce log pillars every five blocks. The count doesn't land evenly. Basket stretches one gap to seven so the pillars line up with the stores above. One store is twelve wide, which leaves no middle spot for a beam. "I would like to put in a beam because it's 12 across but I just can't do it." It goes without one.
Walking the outside
Basket walks around the building to see how it looks from outside, even though few people will go there. Trees come down or get trimmed, and a spruce frame goes up around one entrance. A viewer suggests turning the odd corner by the pond into a fountain. Basket likes it, since there's less redstone in that corner if water splashes. A food court on a second floor might reach over that area too.
Night comes, and Basket uses a bed to skip it; the chat reads "BasketMC: Slept until sunrise." Then the back wall gets its pillars. Most gaps are five, and a few become six to make up the difference. There's also a hole to patch where Basket thinks a creeper blew up.
Still waiting on quartz
The stream ends with the first-floor shop plan laid out and the outer wall started. The floors and the second level still need a lot more quartz, and what the stores will be built from is still undecided. The credits run to the end with no gameplay after them.
