This episode runs about 69 minutes and opens on a card reading "Episode 87" and "Small Rail Station." Basket is back in the new small rail station by the iron farm on the Hypermine server, with the creative copy in the picture-in-picture window, and the job is to get the station working. Kondrik is on the server too: the in-game chat shows Kondrik sleeping through to sunrise and trading a wave ("o/") with Basket.
Glass for the elevator
First comes a fix up top: dispensers that were left out go in under the hoppers, so carts waiting there come out when someone hits the button below. Then Basket needs glass, and takes the Nether portal over to Basket Station, which has lots of clear glass.
Back at the station, the item elevator gets its shaft. It is a three by three of glass around the column, built all the way to the top, so items from the unloader below can ride back up. On the way, Basket checks the filter that catches caboose tokens: "Any tokens that come in, caboose tokens will go there," and everything else sorts into its own spot.
The cart magazine
The corner cart dispenser finally gets its string, so the tripwire is in. Next, the spiral the chest minecarts climb: flat, then stair-step up, again and again, until Basket runs out of blocks and has to go back down for more stone bricks. The top end won't turn the way Basket wants, so plan B (or C) is to climb two instead of one before turning. Levers power the rails.
The test works. A chest minecart dispenses, rides up and drops into the column, and the dispenser keeps going until the tripwire sees enough carts waiting. The 14 or so on hand aren't enough, so Basket crafts a pile of chest minecarts one at a time. "Lame." A backup chest feeds the dispenser in case the magazine runs low, and an alarm for that might come later. Regular carts for the passenger hoppers upstairs get crafted straight into a hopper. "I guess I overestimated how many I need."
The top floor
Upstairs, Basket lays out the building: two-wide stairs by the buttons, a ceiling height that "feels right," a doorway over to the ladder, and a room where freight carts arrive. If you bring a chest minecart full of your own items, it pops up here so you can unload it. Basket warns that a freight cart with empty slots could pick up a caboose token on the way. The outside is only a skin for now, and Basket may borrow the style of the big castle next door, which another player built around an iron farm.
Freight test
Basket crafts the missing activator rail and detector rails and places them. Then the test: a chest minecart with a stack of stone in it. It goes down, passes the detectors ("not an engine, not a caboose") and pops up top. "Great, awesome."
Two destination signs go up, Basket Station and the South Port Hypermine Station. The dropper rows behind them are still empty, and Basket remembers the packed ice and water never went in. The to-do list: style the building, add the packed ice and water, rename cobblestone into destination tokens, and build the intersection on the incoming rail.
A new mystery
Last, Basket primes the caboose token side so two carts start in place. A lever sends the first cart up fine; the second never comes. The block it dispenses from turns out to hold about 50 items but won't fire with power coming from directly on top, and once that's changed a cart comes up. Then another line that should push items over to the next hopper doesn't. "That will be a mystery for another time." The stream ends there, and the end card runs to the last frame with no clip after it.
