Episode 4 starts where the last one stopped, on the little plank platform up a jungle tree with the bed and crafting table. "I'm just trying to find a good place where I want to set up my home base," Basket says. First job: a stone axe to replace the one that broke. Then the bed and crafting table come back up into the inventory, and Basket climbs down to look around.
Scouting from the top
It's morning, and Basket guesses the night was quiet because of the bed, "but it's still possible could be creepers around. Those are my main concerns." The jungle is thick with leaves and vines, and "sometimes it's hard to navigate around." Basket picks a giant tree and climbs it, and has one regret on the way up: with the iron left unmined last time, there could have been shears to cut the vines. From the top the view runs over water and dark trees. "So this is on the edge. So there's swampy region and jungle." Basket wants to be "more in the thick of it," so it's back down and deeper in.
A creeper in the leaves
Down in the undergrowth Basket finds pigs and kills a cow, then has to stop and throw things out because the inventory is full. A little later a creeper steps out by a tree trunk. "Oh! I saw you!" It blows up and leaves a crater in the dirt. Basket backed off in time and "wasn't hurt very much," but takes the lesson anyway: "I should have right-clicked and blocked," which would have cut the damage if it had been closer.
The right tree
The next tall tree looks better. "I have a feeling that this one is going to work out pretty well. It's nice and tall." From the top there's a view of "a bunch of different biomes, snow over there." Basket clears some leaves, turns logs into planks, and lays a new platform just above the branches, with a word of caution about the leaves: they "can only be so far from, I believe, wood blocks, so be careful" which ones to cut. Torches go up around the edge.
Moving in at sunset
As the sun goes down, Basket sets out a crafting table, a chest and a furnace, puts raw beef on to cook, and sorts the leather, cocoa beans, buckets and the rest into the chest. "I don't need redstone for a while," so that goes in too. The bed goes back down beside them.
Next time
Night falls with Basket alive on the new platform, next to the bed, chest, furnace and crafting table. "We have our new base of operations way up here in the canopy."
