Let's Play Minecraft Hardcore

The series

Let's Play Minecraft Hardcore is Basket's own single-player world in Hardcore mode: one life, no respawns, and one goal, to kill the Ender Dragon in The End, building a base along the way. It ran for two seasons, each in a new world, between June 2012 and June 2013.

Season 1

Seven short episodes on Minecraft 1.2.5. Basket starts in a snowy spruce forest, clears a zombie dungeon with no armor on, and builds a walled base on a platform high in a jungle tree. The first five went up in June 2012 and the last two in April 2013. The season ends in Episode 7, "Lesson Learned": climbing a long, wide ladder shaft back up from the mine, Basket falls just short of the trapdoor at the top, and the game-over screen ends the world.

Season 2

Twenty-two longer episodes in a new world, on Minecraft 1.5, uploaded between April and June 2013. Basket starts over in a cave corner with a stone sword and, after a long search for a home, settles on a grassy plateau in the extreme hills. Under it go a zombie spawner turned into a grinder, a stone brick library with an enchanting table and a hidden piston wall, and later a Nether portal, a Nether wart farm and an automatic brewing station. The season stops at Episode 22, "Ward": Basket is alive, has crafted 28 Eyes of Ender, and plans to go looking for the stronghold next. No later episode was uploaded, so the dragon fight never happens on the channel.
