Basket opens in a small viewing room under the zombie grinder from last episode, watching zombies ride a water elevator past the glass. Upstairs, "there's like 400 zombies making noise." The plan for the day: "kill these guys, enchant another pick," and build a library right beside the spawner, "where I can enchant books easily."
Watching the grinder
Most zombies swim straight up the elevator. One stays at the bottom, but Basket isn't worried, since it is "probably out of range" of the spawner.
Up top the count is "375 or zombies," more than Basket usually wants to collect. Killing them brings the level to 30 and drops a potato ("I'll build a potato farm eventually"). The new diamond pick comes off the table with Efficiency III, Unbreaking III and Fortune II. Basket already has one of those, and would still like "a Fortune 3."
Moving the shelves
At the plateau house Basket breaks the old bookshelves with the silk touch pick, and they drop as bookshelves rather than books. "Yeah, they do." On the way down Basket kills more cows for leather.
Back at the grinder another batch of zombies brings the level close to 30 again. The chest shows a Golden Chestplate with Projectile Protection III and Thorns I ("I ended up getting some Golden Thorns") next to an iron helmet with Respiration and Aqua Affinity. Carrots too, for a future farm.
A library beside the spawner
Basket clears the space next to the spawner room and lays a stone brick floor. Windows look into the spawner room, with Basket careful not to let in so much light that it stops spawning.
Instead of a sunken design, Basket goes for "walls of books," built higher than the table can use, since it only reads shelves on "the same level and then one higher." "I think it'll look cool." The shelves get set one block into the wall, broken and replaced with silk touch "so I don't have to waste the extra planks." That reaches 28, then one more shelf, then a few more "just to make it symmetrical."
At 30 the diamond helmet comes out with Fire Protection III and Aqua Affinity I. "Fire protection will be nice for the nether." An anvil, a workbench and two chests for blank and enchanted books finish the first pass.
Take two
Then Basket admits a problem. "So this is take two of this part of the episode." After the episodes where the voice didn't record, Basket added checks for the audio but not for the game video, so "a whole tour" was never captured.
Basket opens the chest and shows the results instead: enchanted books with Efficiency IV and Sharpness III, and a diamond pickaxe with Efficiency IV, Unbreaking III and Fortune III. "That'll be really nice for diamonds." The lost footage also held a Bane of Arthropods book, "which is pretty useless." Later plans include a secret door once sticky pistons are working ("every library and bookshelf area needs secret doors") and glowstone and redstone lamps after a trip to the Nether.
Paper is the real limit. "The reeds right now is what's really slowing me down." Only a handful of new shelves go in. "I need a lot more reeds."
Sugar cane in the desert
Basket picks a flat stretch of desert at the foot of the plateau and digs long straight trenches, so harvesting means just running down a row. Water goes in, then sandstone half slabs over it ("Is that a thing? ... Yes, great") so the cane won't fall in and neither will Basket.
Sunset sends Basket back up until morning. Later the field is grown in. "Now we're in business." Creepers are a problem in the tall cane: "I almost got blown up a couple times." From the field Basket spots a temple that "may or may not be one I've already been to," to check next episode.
The library
Back underground the leather becomes books and the last shelves go up. "Yeah, I like it."
The episode ends with Basket alive in the new library, after a last look at the chest of enchanted books. More storage is the next job for this room, "because I'm sure I'll have lots more books."
