Like the last episode, this one has no live audio, so Basket talks over the footage afterward. It picks up deep in the caves under the plateau with a very full inventory and one target: five diamonds. Three are for a pickaxe "so I can mine obsidian, and then another two for the enchanting table."
Three, not five
Basket's habit is to mine along the top of the lava lakes, because "sometimes around lava lakes, there's diamond deposits, or at least better resource deposits." Any lava in the way gets a bucket of water poured on it. There's redstone everywhere, and then the first diamond ore of the season shows up in a wall. "Ah! There we go, diamonds." Basket clears the area to make it safe, mines it out and counts. "Oh, only three, huh?" A look around the lava lake nearby turns up nothing more.
Goodbye, workbench
The pickaxe is wearing down, so Basket puts a crafting table on the cave floor to make a backup, fighting the full inventory the whole time. "What to get rid of? What to get rid of?" A creeper drops in right next to the table. "Oh no!" When the smoke clears, the table is gone. "Well, who needs that workbench anyway?" Then: "Okay, backup pick, created."
Iron, gold and one more diamond
The caves keep going. Cobblestone gets thrown out to make room for gold and iron, a river of lava runs through one big room, and some of the loot goes into it. "Lost some into the lava." Basket shoots a skeleton and finds emeralds. "One of these days I'll find a town and I can spend all these emeralds." Another diamond ore turns up near a lava lake, but it is a single block. "Just one? Aw, man. This cave has it out for me, I swear."
All the redstone is good for experience, but Basket is "past 30 already," so it doesn't go far. There's a lesson about packing, too: "I don't really have to bring axes with me down here. Next time I'll have to make sure I'm better prepared with the right tools."
Ten
Past a stretch of water whose current keeps pushing Basket around, a wall of diamond ore finally appears. "Ah, yes, great. More diamonds." A zombie walks out of the dark right next to it, and Basket deals with it before going back to mining. Basket counts ten, and the inventory at the end of the episode shows a stack of 10. "That'll give us enough for, we could do like two picks and an enchanting table."
Straight up
Getting out is harder. The paths twist back on themselves, past torches Basket placed earlier, into dead ends. "I can never resist iron," so the inventory fills up again. Finally Basket picks a high spot and pillars straight up, explaining the trick: a torch under each step, so that falling gravel or sand "won't suffocate me. It'll hit the torch and then just turn into regular blocks." The pickaxe runs out on the way and a new one gets made.
The last block opens into water. Basket swims up onto a sandy shore by the ocean, with jungle nearby, and catches fire. "Oh, that guy's shooting fire at me." Basket gets out of the fire, eats, and fights back until "looks like killed him."
Home sweet home
At first nothing looks familiar. A creeper comes at Basket near some cows and gets shot with the bow. "Should really draw back my bow more. I'm wasting my arrows." Then Basket spots the plateau up the hill, and the plan for the cows changes: "Yeah, because that's my plateau. Great, now I know where we are." The cows get to live, for a pasture next episode, and Basket picks up an egg toward "a little chicken coop if I'm lucky."
The episode ends with Basket alive back on the plateau. "Home sweet home." Next up: the cow pasture, and an enchanting table.
