Basket starts this one still lost in the abandoned mineshaft, with a pack full of iron and not much to eat. "I do have six steaks still and I guess some rotten flesh, but that only lasted so long." The plan is to find a way out, and maybe some diamonds on the way, "but I don't know if that'll really happen."
Lots of dead ends
"Mine shafts are really large. It's hard to get around." Tunnel after tunnel ends in stone. A creeper turns up behind the wooden supports, and Basket swings at it over a block of stone: "Oh, hello. I can't hit him, why is that?" There are still no chests anywhere, "which is pretty odd. Usually there's at least a couple around." After a few more turns, Basket gives up on the map in their head: "Ooh, I'm lost. Definitely lost."
Straight up
So Basket digs straight up. The trick is to put a torch down first: "if your gravel falls down it'll break on the torch." It doesn't stop everything, Basket admits: "Poison of spiders could fall on you." The shaft breaks through to the surface, and "it's definitely night." There's a torch in the distance. Basket remembers getting emeralds down below, which points to Extreme Hills, so that torch might mark the very first cave of this world. Basket draws a bow, a first: "use a bow for the first time." Then it's into the cave. "Yeah, yeah, looks like it."
There's no bed along, so no sleeping. Basket smelts while waiting for day, three furnaces going, and keeps watch "just in case that creeper follows us." The verdict on the mineshaft: lots of iron, but no track, and not "any books or anything like that." A supply check before heading out: the sword has held up well, the axe less so.
Back to the outpost
In daylight Basket heads for the desert temple and then the ravine. "There it is." Down in the little room are the bed, chest, furnace and crafting table from before, and the inventory is a mess: "Too much stuff." Basket sorts through the chest, dumps what isn't needed, "we can get more seeds," and nearly leaves without the bed: "Oh, I wanna take the bed, shoot." What Basket wants now is a village, and better food. "We could grow bread and stuff like that, but I don't know, that might take a while."
A lot of desert
The desert on top of the ravine is "a weird desert." Basket tries to climb some reeds, then remembers all the reeds got left in the chest, and grabs fresh ones by the water. There are two emeralds to spend, if only a village would show up. Villages spawn in desert and plains, Basket reasons, so the desert is worth a look. One small sandstone shape turns out to be "nothing." Another on a rise gets a hopeful look, "see if it's a temple," and then a letdown: "Yeah, looks wellish to me." Basket would really like some diamonds, and is honest about the trek: "I'm sure this is very thrilling to watch."
Pork and plains
Snow shows up on one side, forest on the other, and the sun starts to drop. "Is that plains over there? Oh, that might be plains. Maybe that'll get us to a village." Basket puts the bed down in the grass, sleeps the night off and picks it back up in the morning. Then come the animals. Chickens first, "it'll be nice to get some more arrows going," and then: "Ooh, look at all those pigs." Basket notes, a bit late, that none are being saved "to breed if I end up choosing to live by here." Then a look at the haul: "Oh wow, 32. That is quite a bit."
Still looking
"Actually, I'll get this pig first." Then Basket calls it. The village is "still eluding me. I'm kinda surprised." The episode ends with Basket alive on the plains, and the next episode set for one more try at finding a village.
